Murad Sleep Reform Serum – review
This item was the icing on the delicious Murad trio of products we got to try this week. Because serums, well…they’re kind of my thing. Despite their concentrated ingredients, serums usually have a light texture. Much to the delight of this oily-skinned gal. Plus, a powerful product that goes to work while you’re sleeping? I’m all over it. Makes your moisturizer look downright lazy, doesn’t it? The fact that they are usually applied at night works very much to your benefit. While your skin is at rest (i.e. it’s not fighting any free radicals-sun, pollution, etc.) the serum has the maximum potential to repair.
Leave it to Murad to take that “work while you sleep” concept to a whole new level. Their new Sleep Reform Serum dramatically reduces the signs of aging with what they call “REM”, the Repair Enhancing Matrix (clever, right?) What’s it do? It improves collagen production potential by up to 62% while encouraging relaxation (which softens the appearance of facial expression lines). In addition, Topical Melatonin promotes skin’s “sleep cycle”, to maximize ability to repair and regenerate itself. And this tongue twister, Oligopeptide-1, encourages plump, firm texture and increases proliferation of cells so mature skin looks and acts younger. All of this with lavender too, so as your applying this, the scent is calming you, preparing you for sleep and all the amazing things about to happen to your skin.
Don’t forget to enter our Murad Giveaway and you could be curling up in a bed with a good serum too (along with the other 2 products we’re reviewing this week).

I am a lucky girl! I got to try this amazing serum and let me tell you, I don’t exaggerate when I say amazing.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks and my skin is looking and feeling healthier. The lavender scent is such a relaxing bonus, perfect before hitting the hay.
I have pretty sensitive skin, and am always a little afraid of trying something new because of adverse reactions, but to my delight the only reaction I’ve seen, is a healthier looking face!! How’s that for a side effect!!
I have been using this daily and using the AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser a couple times a week and I tell you I’m ready to retire my old routine and switch completely to Murad. I have heard their praises for years but I was cozy in my routine and never gave them a shot. Thank you WHT for helping me branch out!
This isn’t a cheap serum, but I definitely believe you get what you pay for and one bottle will last you at least a couple months. I for one would say it is WAY worth it!
Another bonus that just hit me is that Stef is loving it and is an oily skin gal. I too love it and am a dry skin gal. So obviously it works great no matter what your skin type is. woooo hooo
Murad is a name to remember and I am now a devoted convert! 5+ stars from me!
Yeah, it was like Christmas opening this box of serums! I felt lucky to get the chance to try not just a serum (Hi, I’m Stef and I’m a serum-oholic) but a NEW to the market serum.
Wow, is this nice! Love the lavender scent. I always look forward to applying my serum every night anyway. But the light scent adds a new dimension to the whole ritual. It’s really soothing before bed. And a true herb scent too, not an artificial, synthetic smell.
The serum itself, wonderful. Really light and absorbs quickly. And it really does seem to soften lines. I’ve looked well rested ever since I’ve started using it (and I’m not!) I would definitely buy this again.
I am a lazy girl and forgetful girl. I’ve tried to use serums regularly in the past and somehow always would forget to apply it before bed. Even with Stef singing the praises of serums (she knows her stuff about these miracle serums) I was worried I would not adequately test the Murad Sleep reform serum. Then Stef gave me another tip to keep the serum (and a favorite night cream) on my bedside table so I didn’t even need to get out of bed when I remembered, “oops, I didn’t use the serum”. Thanks girl! A very helpful tip. I dutifully (heh – duty) placed the Murad on my table and have been pretty good at remembering to use it. Once I got a whiff of the yummy and soothing lavender scent, I was hooked. I normally hate to put something scented on me right before bed, but this is an exception. The lavender scent is not at all overwhelming and actually was very calming for me. It totally soothed my mind and helped me fall asleep.
After regular use, I swear I am starting to see a softening of the lines around my eyes (hooray – I’ve got some strong ones from refusing to wear my glasses when I was kid) and the laugh lines around my mouth. Also, sorry for the tmi, but I always get an outbreak before my period and for the first time in months, I did not have one!! Not even, the one giant cystic pimple that almost always crops up days before the “big event”. Thanks Murad!
I love serums. I couldn’t leave the house without doing it. I do it in the morning and I night. I really, really want to buy this! I got a sample in the mail and I’m going to be so sad when it goes. I’m “a dry skin gal” like Christy Kane and I have sensitive skin and my face isn’t breaking out. I’ve used it for a week now. I think I might buy it. I need to buy it!
I like Stef love Serums. I have a number of them however none have the lovely lavender scent that the Murad does. Lavender is known to relax and help you sleep. I’m usually good about washing my face at night and putting on serums. The last week I’ve been sick an sorry if it’s TMI blowing my nose a lot and running a low grade fever. When you’re sick your skin takes a beating between dehydration, tissues and fever your just blah. So enter this wonderful serum. It’s the only thing that has helped my poor chapped nose and has kept me looking as radiant as possible over this last week. I had already noticed a diff the week prior to my illness after using the serum for about 8 days. I will probably be brace your self Stef, be giving some of my other Serums to family and friends now that I have found this Murad. It moved to the front of my rotation and I don’t see it heading to the back of the line anytime soon.
