The internet destinations that got our heart racing this week. (and if you ever want to share any that do the same for you, please contact us!)

It’s the start of the season, and we’ve got weddings on the brain. But instead of all the truly beautiful ones, we’re fascinated with the ones that are…well, a bit off.

wht member Jamie sent us a link to what may be our newest favorite site, Tacky Weddings. There were many hours spent this week marveling over the choices people made for the happiest day of their life. The ugly bridesmaid dress section is a particularly good one. That’s me in the photo shown here, circa 1987. No offense to the person whose wedding it was, but perhaps we didn’t need the hats. Really, I’m just glad we didn’t have parasols…

We’re going to carry on with the wedding theme by pointing you towards Cake Wrecks. This hilarious site will make you feel better about your baking skills (even with my nonexistent talents at baking and icing, I’m not quite at Cake Wrecks level ~T) while giving you a good laugh. The blog highlights cake catastrophes of all types, but we need to highlight some spectacular wedding disasters, including the redneck specials and these inspired wedding day cakes.
