Weekly Deal-lights 8.23.09
We’re having a we heart this garage sale this weekend. So please think of us, out in the hot sun, dealing with the Hollywood riff raff while you’re having a leisurely weekend! But because we love a good deal, here’s a few good ones you wouldn’t be able to find in amongst our old clothes and bad cds…
.
We’re big Bliss fans around these parts. In addition to their own fabulous line, they always seem to carry the new lines that we’re dying to check out. For example, Fit Flops. I am so intrigued by these! Here’s a deal where you can get FREE fitflops when you buy the ‘FatGirlThree’ trio. (which has to be a nod to Fun Boy Three, a great British band from the 80′s). Act quick, it’s only good through August 26th.
We have yet to give Clinique the love they deserve. We’ll have to change that! They’re a great no nonsense, classic line. And obviously, they appreciate a good deal too. Follow this link and use the Code LGLOSS for a FREE Long Last Glosswear in Air Kiss plus FREE Shipping with any $35 purchase. Valid through 9.30.09.
With Fall upon us (well, kind of…) I start to get excited to break out my cold weather bedding. I’m in desperate need for a new comforter this year though. I’m going to be checking out SmartBargins.com and maybe I can use this offer- 15% off Bed and Bath on top of their already super low rates.
Filed in: what a deal

Hey Stef I have the Fit Flops and love them. They are super comfortable and are great when walking a ton and you don’t want to wear tennis shoes. I wore them at Disney and they were the only shoes I wore (including my running shoes) that didn’t hurt my feet. I can’t say I notice my legs or butt being more toned as they advertise, but I also work out a lot. If you can get a pair free, that’s a great deal! Just got my mom a pair at Nordstroms and paid $50 for them.
Fit flops? I doubt I could spend an hour in those with my Cerebral Palsy. Flip flops and most heels are pure agony for me after an hour. I need a heel with good arch, foot and ankle support. I think there needs to be a line of fashionable shoes (heels AND flats) for the disabled and those with leg problems. There is nothing worse than staying in bed because you can’t move due to your legs burning in pain from wearing heels.
Oo, Smart Bargins is definitely calling my name. I must unleash the interior designer diva. This site might override my Overstock obsession.
Hi Katie,
Sorry to hear that. I agree, why are the majority of comfortable shoes not very stylish? Have you ever tried Aerosoles? That seems to be what they aim to do, but I don’t know if they succeed. Anyone?
Thanks for your comments and contribution to the site.
(Plus, we like seeing Zena in your avatar!)
Stef, You are the bargain finding Queen!!!
Katie, have you ever tried Naturalizer shoes http://www.naturalizer.com/
They are supposed to be made for comfort!! (as ALL shoes should be but aren’t :) ) I have had one pair and they were so comfortable.. and really cute!!
& I’m with you on Smart Bargains, I can’t stop browsing on there!!
Stef,
I actually haven’t tried Aerosoles. (For that matter, I’ve never heard of them!) I’ll definitely have to Google them. I have a good many flats that I wear and I have walking shoes dedicated to walking Zena (and bad days) as she just refuses to walk like a normal dog. She has to walk like a horse.
Aw, thank you! It’s actually her as a puppy! I think she was 8 or 9 weeks old (Decker ears stick straight up at about 11 weeks). It’s my favorite photo that we received from her other owners when we adopted her.
Christy Kane–No, I haven’t heard of them! I’ll have to check them out. It’s not so much comfort I need but support in the structure of a shoe. Thank you for the link!
