we heart weekly – 8.13.11

Kate knows, it’s only rock-n-roll but she likes it…

Have you seen Kate Moss’ wedding photos yet? Taken by Mario Testino, and just released in September Vogue, each photo of Moss and her rocker hub Jamie Hince is more breathtaking than the last. But it’s this shot, our Photo of the Week that’s my favorite. It’s an ode to the classic 1971 Mick and Bianca Jagger backseat wedding portrait by royal photographer Lord Lichfield.

How rock-n-roll is that? A boob, champagne, cigarette, Mick f*ckin’ Jagger – it’s all just too much.

Here’s what else had us rocking and rolling this week…

• I LOVE this brilliant DIY Proenza Schouler Scroll Necklace from the equally brilliant gals of Honestly…WTF.

• Ever wonder what a 5 day old piglet looks like? Cute Overload answers that question. (Spoiler alert: unbelievably cute).

• Speaking of music again, check out this where are they now look at kid cover models from some classic albums via Slate.

• Finally, a deal for you! You have through August 15 to partake in 30% off in the tarte friends and family sale. We like those kinds of friends and family! Just use code: FFAUG.

OMbloodyG, are you as glad it’s the weekend as I am?! What’s on the agenda, chicks?

Awww, I love baby animals, and Cute Overload always gives me the fix I need. So adorable!

On the docket for this weekend? We’re taking the dogs and climbing a mountain. We plan to camp overnight and watch the Perseid meteor shower. It peaked last night, but we should be able to see a bit more tonight.

That kit and pencil just rocked it! I totally agree!

I was going to pick up and True Blood set but the discount doesn’t cover that. :( BOOO!!
