The Lipstick League – week of 5.7.12
We love a do-gooder, especially one that smells good. So we wholeheartedly support Smell Bent’s latest creation Liberty for All. Liberty Wildlife is an organization dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of desert wildlife. Smell Bent teamed up with them, creating a scent for their annual fundraiser. It’s based on “the smell of orange blossoms in the desert spring”. The notes are: desert orange blossom with bergamot, ozone, tonka bean, hay, vetyver and sandalwood. How amazing does that sound? Like a sexy desert day! Best of all, for each bottle sold Smell Bent will donated $25 directly to the cause. Go buy some, and get your desert on.

Okay, in my bag, currently, there is the following beauty items:
1.Benefit Nice Knickers (LP61) lipstick
2.Benefit Jing-a-Ling (LP56) Lipstick (running low on it)
3. Clinique lip duo in Think Bronze (lipstick) and I can’t read the other side (it’s worn off, but I believe it’s Tenderheart)
4. Stila Lip Glaze in Fruit Punch
5. Stila Lip Glaze in Cotton Candy
6. Clinique Long Last Lipstick Deluxe Mini in All Heart
7. Stila Lip Glaze in Grapefruit
8. Glass nail file and nail clippers
9. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream (fragrance free)
10. 2 large hair elastics, 12 bobby pins, 2 hair hair clips (all in brown) and 8 small rubber/latex elastics in black (which I’m not supposed to use latex because of my sensitivity to them. Must buy latex-free elastics!)

12. Clearasil Adult Tinted Treatment Cream
13. Hydrocortisone
14. Michael Kors Callista sunglasses (because my vision is considered a beauty item. Cataracts runs in my family and the best way to prevent it is to wear UVA blocking sunglasses.)
15. Palladio Rice Paper oil-absorbing blotting tissues in translucent (the HOLY GRAIL of blotting tissues, people. I don’t leave the house without ‘em!)
Um…..that’s it, unless you want to count the Orajel and the Band-aids!
@katezena – I worry about your shoulders with all these products! But good for you for planning for beauty emergencies.
@stef – You haven’t even seen the medication yet. I think the bag weighs a solid pound (if you’re wondering, I switch shoulders.) It has my life in it, almost literally. We’ve joked that I might be the person that gets pulled over for a minor traffic violation, then they discover all the medication in my bag and I get slapped for possession on top of it. Benedryl, sudafed, pepto, ibuprofen, tylenol, migraine meds, asthma and the holy puke pills (because heaven forbid I get even feel like vomiting) are all in there! Never leave home without em. I’m quite sure I could survive a while in a lockdown, as long as I could stash my crayon box, the iPod nano and carry my coloring book. I have enough stuff to supply an army.
And you know, they all wonder why they go to me when they have a headache. No one bothers to carry ibupofen on them. No wonder I have a Tignanello tote style bag.
