The Lipstick League – week of 6.25.12

MACSail The Lipstick League – week of 6.25.12

What’s that above? Oh, a big ol’ tease – that’s what. It’s MAC Sail la Vie from the Hello, Sailor! collection. It sold out instantly online, but it’s so fabulous it’s worth some feverish hunting at all your local stores.

If you’re not too mad at me, check out this week’s Lipstick League.

Question of the Week: – Your three favorite skincare lines, name them…

Answer: Kiehl’s is a shoo in; my skin is a mess without Calendula Toner. The more I try from The Organic Pharmacy, the more hooked I am. And 3Lab, because the Perfect C Eye Treatment is magical. But Dr. Dennis Gross is a very close 4th for creating one of my other Holy Grails; the Alpha Beta peel. Oh, and M Lab…and Replere…and Kate Sommerville…and Zelens…

Here’s what going on with the gang.

Nouveau Cheap – Perhaps the longest review G. has ever written about a drugstore foundation, come see why she felt the need to update her original Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup post with even more photos and info.

Pink Sith – Is full of non-sequitur references when it comes to talking about Chanel Fall 2012 Lumiere d’Artifices Beiges Illuminating Powder with Shimmer!

Prime Beauty – appreciates multi-tasking beauty products and Sue Devitt’s Marine Minerals Eye Shadow Palette in Soloman Islands is a triple threat AND ideal for summer. Okay, a quadruple threat!

Phyrra – updates her lovely locks with Manic Panic Atomic Turquoise & Fuchsia Shock! Check it out!

Vampy Varnish – If you love makeup and art then you are going to love the new Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Liquid Pens!

Gouldylox Reviews – Can you believe it’s time to start thinking about the fall? I haven’t even been on vacation yet! Needless to say, it’s a departure from the bright summer colors, but I kind of like the classic vibe. You?

Krasey Beauty – shows you all of Make Up For Ever’s latest summer additions!

Guest Post of the Week, as chosen by Nouveau Cheap – If you like MAC MSFs but you’re on a tight budget, check out Glam Morena’s swatches of the new e.l.f Baked Blushes.

Oh my gosh, I totally am in love with Sail La Vie! I saw it at at MAC store and wanted it so badly… but couldn’t justify adding it to the other 5 items I bought from that collection, since I rarely wear lipstick. But I might have to scour my local MAC counters. If they have it, it’s a sign I was meant to have it, right? :) My favorite three skincare brands: Neutrogena, because they make my favorite makeup removing wipes that I can’t live without; L’Occitane–expensive, but oh my goodness love them; and Bath and Body Works–I love their body creams in every scent, and their cute little scented hand sanitizers!

It’s hard picking three skincare lines! Off the top of my head:
