We’re in the thick of summer now and the sun is out in full force. Hopefully all of our lovely readers are remembering to apply SPF all over, everyday. And if you’re not, please start.
But it doesn’t stop there. I always bring a couple of stylish accessories to the beach, the pool or even a day of shopping to help keep my skin safe from harmful rays. So this 4 for Friday I decided to browse Etsy for a few fun finds to help keep me made in the shade:
• I adore a big brimmed, elegant hat and now is the time to wear one. And how stylish is this Wide Brim Summer Hat in the color of the season Tangerine Tango? The stunner is handmade in America with hand dyed and blocked parasisal straw and crafted with a round crown, a large wavy brim and trimmed with black grosgrain ribbon. It also fastens with two ribbon streamers, so it won’t blow away on a windy beach. $190
• I’ve shared my love of sarongs in the past, but I also love a flowing Cotton Kaftan Dress for days by the water. This beauty is handmade in a floral print “inspired by the bougainvillea covered walls of Mediterranean Spain”. This light and breezy dress is easy to slip in and out of and can double as a dress for a night on the town when you’re on a tropical vacation. Great – more room for packing makeup! $35
• With the increase in sun damage awareness, the once old fashioned parasol is making a comeback. You can protect yourself from those rays in cutting edge style by carrying this Bright Floral Japanese Paper Parasol. This vintage gem is in good shape, covered in a vivid floral pattern of red, pink, yellow and blue and has a bamboo handle. $60
• I never leave my home without a pair of sunglasses and if they are vintage, even better! And these Peach Framed 80s Sunglasses are just my style. This flattering deadstock pair features roundish, oversized frames in a sunny hue with brown gradient lenses.
