The Lipstick League – week of 2.18.12
MAC Archie’s Girls – review coming soon!
Question of the Week: What one makeup brush do you consider an absolute staple in your makeup kit?
Answer: Everyone needs a good tapered eye shadow brush. I love my limited edition MAC 266 (watch out for it, it’s been released twice so far.) But 224 is very similar, just bigger.
Here’s what was up with the League this week…
My Beauty Bunny – is in love with Beautisol’s Healthy Glow! Enter to Win Beautisol Products!
Nouveau Cheap – Come see why the new Rimmel by Kate Moss Matte Lipsticks DON’T have me humming the Beverly Hills, 90210 theme song (in this case, that’s a good thing!).
Prime Beauty – tries out this fun and fresh spring look with Lancome’s In Love Spring 2013 Makeup Collection! Did she achieve her goal?
Phyrra – has found a miracle daytime moisturizer, the Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 40.
Vampy Varnish – Actually found a concealer that doesn’t make her look older in the new NARS Radiant Creamy Concealars out now!
we heart this – polish fanatics; have you seen the new for spring Sheswai Lacquer shade called Dig It? It’s a grass green with a touch of grey, and it’s ALL kinds of fabulous!
Clumps of Mascara – usually loves Maybelline mascaras, but Maybelline The Rocket ‘VolumExpress was just so so to her.
EauMG – has been fighting the flu all week. Luckily, I have found some comort in this perfume by Bottega Veneta.
Gouldylox Reviews – I asked, you answered. The results of the first ever Gouldylox Best Deep Conditioner (super informal) poll are in!
Lipglossiping – goes all out glitzy and talks about whether we need GOLD in skincare. Is it for fools only?
Guest Post of the Week, as chosen by My Beauty Bunny is Moxie Reviews!

I really don’t think I could narrow it down to one essential brush. Unless there were a multi-brush tool. Like a Swiss Army knife of makeup brushes and gadgets….

I am always on the quest for the perfect brush. I love the Cargo Magic Brush because helps my foundation look flawless. @stef – I think I need to broaden my horizons and try your MAC brush.
I am currently using a Tarte eye brush that I love right now…very similar to the MAC 224. Happy Oscar’s everyone! SOOO excited for tonight, can’t wait to see who knocks it out of the park with their dress.
My favorite brushes are from Tarte, Eco Tools, and Sigma. And no I can’t pick just one. Sorry!
BTW-Super bummed that I missed the Archie collection. As usual my favorites sold out immediately. Grrrr……
I can’t pick a favorite either! I’ve been using these for many years now for eyeshadows: MAC 217, MAC 239. They just work very well together!

FAVORITE? Not likely.. However, I love my Sephora Pro Eye Shadow brush 14 – it works very well with both creams and powders—on lids and creases.
I have a fluffy Sonia Kashuk brush that I grabbed a few years back–it applies darker powder blush flawlessly. I wish I’d had the forethought to buy extras because it’s that awesome. It is my preciousssss…
