Dealing with holiday stress is much easier now that I’m older. I don’t sweat the small things, I make a list of what needs to be done, then try to complete. I ask for help too from other family members and make time for myself like get my hair done, always helps me get refreshed :)

My secret to Holiday Stress is to fnd 20 -40 mins to relax in a hot bath! Then I listen to music while sipping on a glass of wine or not with depeding on how I feel with my favorite candles lit. Then papmpering myself with my favorite smell good products. Like lotions, body sprays, face creams, & other beauty products I like to induldge in. Somehow I get to feel like I been to a luxury spa but, in the comfort of of my own home & without the extra expenses! On a good day this can happen for a good 45 mins without anyone calling my name “MOM” out every 10 mins.

My tip for less stress holiday cooking is to prepare as much food as possible. I bake many of my Christmas cookies early and freeze them for later use. Nobody even notices that they were previously frozen.

Sometimes, just going out to lunch by yourself, taking a book and having something nice is a real coping activity. Or instead of lunch, go to Starbucks with your laptop or tablet and chill for awhile.

Just stopping to realize that the holidays are supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable. Realizing the meaning for the holidays are important. A little glass of wine here and there never hurt, either ! :)

I try to not get stressed out by the holidays, because I usually enjoy decorating and cooking and etc. The only thing I really dislike is wrapping gifts, but with all the pretty gift bags and boxes there is now, it’s not that bad and I buy more gift certificates now, too, which don’t need to be wrapped. Thanks.
