GlobeIn Artisan Gift Subscription Box Review

A unique subscription service filled with crafts from around the world

There are subscription services for everything under the sun – makeup, pet supplies, snacks, DIY…and the list goes on. I’ve seen them all. However, I have not seen anything quite like GlobeIn’s Artisan Gift Box. Before we delve into the box, let me tell you a bit about GlobeIn and their unique subscription service.

GlobeIn’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of local artisans by connecting them with the global economy. It’s not limited by technology but expanded by it. If you think about it, there are extremely talented artists all over the world that we will possibly never know about because they are not as well connected to the global market.

The GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box ($29.99 a month including free shipping) is such an amazing idea because it helps promote these artists in a very simple way. What’s really awesome is that your subscription provides an income to these artists for their work, giving them 100% of their asking price. GlobeIn seeks out these one-of-a-kind wares and shares the artists’ stories with us in addition to making these beautiful handmade goods available to us. There’s a postcard for each craft that tells you about the person who made them with their own personal stories.

So how does it work? It’s really easy. You pick a category: Jewelry, Decor or Home Accessories. The GlobeIn curators will then pick the best items for your box within that category. Each box comes with up to 3 handcrafted items from around the world. The cost is undoubtedly less than if you were to purchase them separately on their own. You can cancel at any time or give a GlobeIn Artisan Box as a gift to someone! Love what you received? You can even follow the artist on the GlobeIn website and get in touch with them if you have any questions.

Here’s a sampling of things similar to what you’d receive in your Artisan Gift Box. One of my favorites here is this candle made by Luz de Luna Group from Chalco Mexico. This candle is made from natural fruit petals and smells delicious! Also these bright and cheerful coasters by Sandra and Abel in Coyoacan, Mexico are happily making a permanent spot on my coffee table. Imaging opening a box up of all these goods?

The GlobeIn Artisan Box really is an instant pick me up and it’s a refreshing change from the run of the mill products we have access to everyday. It’s affordable and makes a perfect gift!

we heartsters – will you be subscribing to GlobeIn’s Artisan Box this month? What kind of goods would you love to receive?

I really loved this box; the idea and contents. It’s so well done, especially the little cards that told you a bit about the artist. It’s like a global craft fair!

The candle is divine, it smells like a pure juicy orange. And I especially loved the basket too. I got a basket like this when I went to Mexico which my dogs promptly ate (yes, ate) the first night I had it. I guess the smell of the needles (stalks?) was just too much.

    Great concept, great products!
