My favorite food is lasagna. And my favorite lasagna is Stouffers. I’m all about the authentic Italian stuff with the Ricotta cheese, but I adore the lasagna in my frozen food section. I craved it with all three of my pregnancies and I believe that it was my last meal before going into labor with two of them. That and Oreos of course. My favorite part is when it is slightly over cooked and the cheese bubbles and browns to the edges of the plastic pan. I just love scraping off the crispy part and saving it for last. Mmmmm….
Most of my other favorite meals are combo deals. One just doesn’t taste right without the other. Grilled cheese and tomato soup. Bacon and mayo sandwich and chocolate milk. And when I eat cheese, I want milk and when I drink milk I want chocolate, and then I usually want cheese again to get rid of the sweet taste. It’s a vicious cycle.

I haven’t worn legwarmers and neon colors since the 80′s and I’d like to keep it that way.

Fabulous shoes and a big handbag. I also love flip flops for lazing around in the Texas heat. Nothing feels better in spring/summer than cute sundresses. Jeans are a staple. chunky jewelry is always fun. love my lightweight-knit grey cardigan – it goes with everything.

Splurge – I am a major bargain shopper and I try not to spend more than $50 on any one piece. I’m sure the most expensive thing in my closet is probably a pair of dark brown suede and tan fur knee high boots from Cabelas.
Steal – just about everything else in my closet. In particular, I got an awesomely cute pair of Betsey Johnson gingham wedges for a song!

I’m really trying to use environmentally safe materials as much as I can when crafting. I’ve become obsessed with reading upcycling craft blogs. Professionally, I’ve always done pro bono design work for non profits as a means of giving back.

My office/studio. It’s the one area of the house that I sit and create. I share a corner of it with my husband since he works at home a lot, but the rest of the space is MINE! It houses my ingenius desk that I made by combining a glass, shadow-box style desk top from IKEA and Closetmaid shelving from Lowes. On my desk of course I have my Powerbook G4, Wacom tablet and art supplies. I have shelves for my books and awards and knick-knacks and on the other side of the room is my grandmother’s circa 1960′s sewing machine that I recently repaired, another table from IKEA, my light box, and of course more art supplies. That space is truly me. Eclectic and colorful.
