The holidays are in full swing and you know what that means – a whole lot of cleaning. While television has tried to tell me the holiday season is all about baking cookies, caroling, dashing through the snow and slow motion decorating scenes; the truth is most of my friends spend a lot of time stressing over the cleanliness of their home.
It’s the time of year when you receive a lot of once-a-year visitors that you just know are standing in your kitchen and thinking, “why does the handle of her refrigerator look so dirty?” It’s not just that same old group of friends that never blink an eye when you serve wine in mismatched glasses (last week I was short on champagne flutes and my roomie pulled out his prom glass with “A Royal Night in Camelot” theme!) and dinner from a pizza box.
So, if you’re looking for something to help make your home sparkle, let us introduce you to the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. At first glance, you may doubt the power of this little white styrofoamy-feeling sponge. But let me tell you, this was one product that actually delivered on its promises! This simple to use little cube really did clean the ground-in grime on my refrigerator handle. With just a few minutes of rubbing the Magic Eraser over the handle, it was back to its original bright white.
The Mr. Clean site says the sponges “remove more grime per swipe than the leading all purpose spray cleaner” and that “its innovative micro-bristles clean both tough dirt and everyday messes, leaving surfaces all over your home sparkling clean.” While I didn’t do a grime per swipe study, my favorite part is that it doesn’t require a spray bottle of liquid cleaner. Just wet the sponge under your faucet, wring and start scrubbing! It’s suitable for a variety of surfaces including shower walls, tubs, sinks, countertops, floors and whatever you decide could use some shine.
