The Nutrisystem Nation has a new member

I’m oh so pleased to share some good news with you: I have just signed up as a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger! For the next four months, they will be supplying me with tools to get me in what I hope will be the best shape of my life. I’ll be sharing a post every Sunday about my progress; what I like about the program and what I may be struggling with. I’ll be doing video posts too (so get ready for me in all my goofball glory). And I’m hoping that whether you’re thinking about Nutrisystem yourself or you’re trying to shape up on your own, my journey may be helpful to you.

Why am I doing this? On my 39th birthday I told myself that “this was the year”. I couldn’t do anything about turning 40, but I could turn 40 in a smaller pants size. I had a whole year, surely I could do it. But then 40 came without change. And as I approached 41, my pants size was not only not smaller, the pants felt a little snugger too (and I couldn’t blame it on the dryer EVERY time).

I don’t have a lot of weight to lose. I’m aiming for 40 lbs. But really, it’s less about a number than it is feelings. Like the feeling of being able to wear anything in my closet again. Or not feeling dread with beach season approaching. Maybe you know these kind of feelings…

And I’ve got a new feeling going on right now; I am hopeful. Wish me luck!

What a great opportunity for you to be able to do this!
I’m so happy for you. You have all my support @stef!
I cannot wait to hear what you think of the program.

@stef – I am so sorry I am a bit late for this post. Yesterday, was crazy and last night I had to get my new GPS set up. (It takes FOREVER to download all of the maps.)

I am so excited for you. My job involves a lot of travel, sitting and sometimes entertaining. It is HELL on the waistline. I am getting better at making better choices but, it is not easy—especially when it rains all week long.

I can’t wait to hear all about this journey! Please keep us informed of the good, the bad and the ugly. Are you eating their food or cooking your own?

Best wishes in your first week.

    Good Work Stef!

I lost about 15 lbs so far in the last nine months, and It feels so good when you don’t have to struggle to zip up those jeans!

Good luck and can’t wait to read!

Good for you @stef! Can’t wait to hear all the details. I have a few more pounds of baby weight that aren’t going anywhere and it’s about time I do something about it…really interested to see how this program works.

    Good luck @Stef !
I wish Nutrisystem would make allergen friendly meals. I know that when I’m trying to lose weight the convenience factor is what really kills it for me. If I had the option of something like Nutrisystem (FAST and easy to make, preportioned, etc) it would be a dream!

Hey Nutrisystem folks- if you’re ever interested in teaming up with someone to develop an allergen friendly version I’m readily available! Hint hint!

@stef – What a great opportunity! I’m anxious to hear what you have to say about the food. I did Nutrisystem years ago and was doing great, lost a decent amount of weight in a few months, and then they changed their recipes on the items I liked, so I quit b/c I didn’t like the changes. I know my local Big Lots (discount store) sells some Nutrisystem stuff and some things are good, but some things are just not. Make sure and let us know what are your favorite food picks!
