It Cosmetics Bye Bye Lid Lines and Hello Lashes Review

The wht fave joins the fight against eye shadow creasing

My body is on a mission to destroy me. It seems like the minute I solve a beauty dilemma, my body finds another to plague me with. I find a product that keeps me from being an oil slick at the end of day and instead at 10pm I find flaky dry patches. I finally perfect a routine to tame my curls and suddenly major gray hairs start to creep in. Yay, no more blackheads on my nose….wait, what is that on my chin?!?

The one silver lining with having solved one problem and then finding another is that you learn what brands to keep in your beauty arsenal – if a company makes one life-saver, they usually deliver another. This is why when I received IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes! 5-in-1 Mascara and Bye Bye Lid Lines Anti-Aging Primer for review, I was thrilled; I’ve reviewed Hello Lashes! previously and since IT Cosmetics had come through before, I had high hopes.

I am nearly incapable of sticking to a single brand when it comes to eye products, so trying Hello Lashes ($20) again was like finding your favorite pair of comfy slippers after losing them for months.

The 5-in-1 formula is just as great as I remember (click here for the in-depth wht review), working overtime as a hydrating primer, lash volumizer, enhancing serum and lash darkening tint with a wand that serves as a comb and curler. Once again I have soft, feather-y lashes; even the teeny ones in the corner of my eyes due to the lovely standard wand applicator with a ball wand at the end.

Hoping to strike gold again, I also tried Bye Bye Lid Lines ($24), an anti-aging eyeshadow primer. Paraben-free (seriously, who uses that anymore?), cruelty-free and packed with vitamin K, green tea extract and acai and grapeseed oils, this hypo-allergenic primer fights puffiness and discoloration while smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles in order to give you a smooth canvas for your favorite shadows.

Bye Bye Lid Lines comes in a generous size (over 5ml) with a doe foot applicator. The applicator helps make thin application easy, but will not endear itself to germaphobes and having to toss the tube after three months is a kick in the pocketbook. Using your own clean applicator will solve that, but I definitely wish the primer came in a squeeze tube or pot.

Performance-wise, Bye Bye Lid Lines is on par with my favorite eyeshadow primers though not quite as long lasting. The formula requires 30 seconds dry time and even then the primer still feels a bit creamy. After applying shadow, the color payoff is excellent and has good staying power, but is not smudge-proof.

Bye Bye Lids Pros:
Cruelty-free
Hypo-allergenic
Paraben and Fragrance-free
Smoothes out lids and stops creases
Grabs onto color and makes it pop

Bye Bye Lids Cons:
Packaging will lead to product wasting
Not smudge-proof

IT Cosmetics continues to impress me with their cruelty-free products. Hello Lashes! is in my top-three mascaras of all-time and while Bye Bye Lids is not my favorite eyeshadow primer, it is a worthy solider in the fight against my rebellious body. They’ve helped me conquer wimpy lashes and now lid lines and creased shadow, so I will definitely look to them again for my next battle. Who knows, maybe I’ll eventually win the war.

I have a lot of love for IT Cosmetics. Before WHT introduced me to this company, my skin just did not look as flawless as it does today thanks to Bye Bye Under Eye and Bye Bye Pores. Naturally, I was thrilled to try their mascara version.

First, the design is very unique. I like the sponge handle and it makes me feel like I have more “power over my lashes.” I am not sure if this is real or imagined but, it is a good feeling. The magic wand lash ball detailer is something special. Everyone knows I like multi tasking products. This one takes a bit of practice. Once you master the want. It does lift and lengthen the lashes.

I also love that it is paraben and cruelty free.

Right there with ya! At this point, why WOULDN’T most makeup be paraben and cruelty free, considering how many products manage it!

I definitely agree with you on the control with Hello Lashes; that’s so important, especially around your sensitive eye area!

Hello Lashes maintains its 5 star status from me, but I’m going to give Bye Bye Lid Lines 4 stars. There’s a few little things that keep it from being stellar, but it’s still a really great, solid product!

I’ve tried the Bye Bye Lid Lines, but will have to stick with my normal liner as I like to have my lids smudge-free and the consistency wasn’t my favorite. However I am really interested in trying Hello Lashes as I’m always on the look-out for lash-boosting items with my teensy lashes. Great review!

I received Hello Lashes to try and review. It was just an OKAY mascara to me. Unfortunately the formula did smudge under my eyes and it also did not hold a curl. I love mascaras that have different things going for them (especially ones that help the condition of my lashes) but I was disappointed that this wasn’t HG material for me. Nonetheless, I do love IT Cosmetics and the packaging for this product was pretty stellar with its grippy tube. It would probably work for a majority of people but sadly, I wasn’t one of them. I will be giving this product 3 stars :)

I’ve been hearing Holly rave about Bye Bye Under Eye for a long time, but just haven’t gotten around to trying it. It’s on my list though!

I did have the opportunity to test out Hello Lashes. I both like and dislike the packaging. It’s a little bulky but I do kind of like the cushy padded handle. The brush is quite pokey though, and the formula didn’t do a whole lot for me, unfortunately. It didn’t flake or smudge, but didn’t really do a whole lot to emphasize my lashes. I’m going to have to give it three stars.

I love the doe tip applicator on Bye Bye Lines (I’m no germaphobe). The big size is a plus too. But the formula gave me some problems. I liked how thin it feels, and REALLY smooth. Almost oily, and unlike most times I say that, I mean it as a good thing. It just kind of glides over your skin. But it just didn’t last on me. I found I had creasing in 4 hours, where as with some of my other favorites, I can get a good 8 hours. So, I can only go 2 stars for that.

Hello Lashes got 4 from me originally, and I stand by that. Love the medieval ball, but it gets in the way when you try to use the brush normally. But that squishy handle is fab, as is the formula for me.

I got to try the Hello Lashes Mascara and when I first got it I was in love with the outside design. The nice foam around the handle makes it very easy to use and more comfortable.
I used an eyelash curler first, then applied the mascara. It went on very smoothly and left no lumps which was one of my favourite parts. My lashes looked longer and evenly spaced by the end.
    Overall 5 stars!
