What’s better than a soothing tube of balm? Three of them!

The Honest Company Organic Lip Balm Trio photos: we heart this

I’ll start off by saying I own a boatload of lip balms. Way too many for a single human being. But it’s that chilly time of the year when I just crave a new balm… Luckily this adorable trio of organic lip balms from The Honest Company fell into my lap from the wht gods [insert angel choir sound effect here].

Who doesn’t love a good dose of honesty? There’s just something so refreshing about The Honest Company, a brand that is new to we heart this, with a mission that we can totally get behind. Their name simply goes along with their Honestly Free Guarantee: in short, it’s a lengthy list of yucky toxins that are guaranteed to not be present in their products.

Co-founded by actress and mom Jessica Alba, the line offers bath and body products for babies and adults, as well as cleaning supplies that are “unquestionably safe, eco-friendly, beautiful, convenient, and affordable.” Now that the eco-conscious among us can breathe a huge sigh of relief, let’s talk lip balms!

The organic lip balm trio ($9.95) is a triple dose of good-for-you lip balms that will surely please a variety of tastes. It comes in an adorable box (and would make a great little gift) adorned with The Honest Co.’s signature butterfly.

Inside the box you will find three naturally flavored balms:

The Honest Company Organic Lip Balm Trio

Lavender Mint – a soothing spin on your typical minty balm
Sweet Orange Vanilla – a sweetly scented creamsicle balm
Purely Simple – a no frills, unscented balm

The formula is perfectly comfortable to wear everyday – no slickness and no tackiness. This is my go-to “primer” for under lipsticks but doubles as my nighttime balm. Moisturizing has never felt so good in the form of natural jojoba, olive, coconut and tamanu oils. With the help of aloe, dryness is relieved, leaving the lips feeling oh so soft.

The oils in these balms sink into your lips to moisturize from within – unlike petroleum balms that just sit on top and do…well, nothing. And I enjoy how different the three are from each other. And if you don’t, sharing is an option here.

  1. oooh, these sound so good right now.. my lips are dry, thanks to some pretty cold california weather! I’d like try her Lavender Mint and the Sweet Orange Vanilla for sure and come to think about it.. I’d also want the Purely Simple -no frills, unscented balm for my collection too. Sometimes no scent is good.. especially for my husband. Want to to keep all our lips soft and healthy!
Ten bucks for three, that’s a deal! Great Website too.

    1. @irene – They took away the guesswork and package three lovely flavors into one. Pretty perfect for us beauty junkies right? :) I have all three in rotation!

@turboterp – SUCH a great gift! I must say, I also didn’t share any of these with anyone. ha!

@hao9703 – they have definitely been helping me out during these on and off cold spells here in NYC!

@lucylemonade – I LOVE rediscovering lip balms. That’s why I have them lying all over the place, in every bag, etc. It’s sort of insane.

  2. These do sound perfect, @mandabear . Wouldn’t they make a great little gift? I’m only sorry I can’t run out and buy them at my local store!

  3. I love lip products with jojoba and coconut. I can always use something this to combat dry lips in the winter.

  4. I want these! Especially the lavender mint, I feel like I am always trying new lip balms and then losing them for a month to rediscover them later. Right now I’m using The Body Shop’s Born Lippy in Toffee and love it but I’m still on the lookout for new types.

  5. Sorry ladies – I meant to reply to you all down here :) see above!

  6. I’m in the same boat- I have more lip balms (and glosses and lipsticks and…) than one human can reasonably use but I always get suckered in to buying more! What can I say, it’s a compulsion.
My lips are pretty haggard right now thanks to some brutal winter weather and the dry heat from our pellet stove, so this trio is pretty tempting! And now that my lips are spending so much of their time kissing baby hands/face/feet I’m really aware of all the chemicals in some of my (previously) favorite products. I think it’s time for a lip balm overhaul- out with the old and in with the organic!

    1. I don’t even count lip balm purchases! I make them without blinking – despite I probably have at least 30 of them floating around my life.
