NARS Offers Larger than Life Lining in Two New Shades
Spring beauty collections always make me excited. I think that the cold weather and lack of general color in the natural world gives me a bad case of the winter blahs. So what better to brighten my days then pops of color via makeup? I was particularly excited to see what NARS had to offer this season, because they create exciting color like no other.
The High Seize Collection for Spring 2014 includes two NARS Larger than Life Long-Wear Eyeliners ($24 each); Khao San Road (Pool Blue) and Puerta Del Sol (Parrot Green). NARS bills these eyeliners with a built-in self-sharpener as having 12-hour smudgeproof wear.
I tested NARS Puerta Del Sol, which is a gorgeous – a vivid emerald green with soft silver shimmer – that complemented and brightened my dark brown eyes. I suspect that this green would flatter most eye colors.
I have oily eyelids, and found that while this was not necessarily 12 hours of wear, it certainly lasted through the majority of my day. I did find that this liner was a little dry, making it slightly more difficult to work with, but not impossible. A pay off for being so long-lasting is my guess.
• Gorgeous colors
• Nice packaging
• Slightly hard/dry formula
Overall, I really liked this eyeliner. NARS Puerta Del Sol truly delivered with the color. This tropical green is helping to chase my winter blues away. If you are looking to add some spring to your beauty routine, this liner (and the High Seize collection) may be for you.
