FLOWER mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, lip butter and more: swatches and look

“Every woman deserves to love the way she looks, and price shouldn’t be a part of feeling good about yourself. That’s why I created the FLOWER brand: high quality shouldn’t have to come at a high price.” –Drew Barrymore, founder

There’s something awesome about Drew Barrymore. Actually, a lot of things that are awesome. She’s the quirky girl who’s likable, and those beautiful wide eyes just make you want to be her BFF. She can rock both Hollywood glam and hippie-chic. She’s an incredibly talented and brilliant woman with a creative mind and a heart for others.

meeting-Drew-BarrymoreStef met her at a launch party and gushed “She was one of the nicest celebs I’ve ever met!”

I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical when I heard that FLOWER would only be available at Walmart. A celeb-backed brand touting cruelty-free products made in the USA seemed better suited for a high-end address. But when I tried the line and saw how fantastic it was, I really appreciated Drew’s desire to make these goodies accessible to those of us who don’t live in Beverly Hills.

I got to try a range of previously released and new FLOWER Beauty products including…

FLOWER’s new Intensif-Eye Volumizing Mascara ($7.98) in Intense Black combines three brush types on one wand, allowing you to apply, comb-through and intensify the clump- and flake-free formula. I LOVE this mascara and haven’t stopped using it since it arrived in the mail. It’s fairly easy to use and really amplifies my lashes. Also available in Black, and Black Cherry.

That’s So Kohl! Kohl Eyeliner ($7.98) in Total Blackout is another one of my top picks from this collection. This is a million times better than the powder and crayon kohls that were popular a few years ago! The formula is silky smooth, richly pigmented and the best part–is twist-up with a smudger on the end. It blends so beautifully, and once it sets, it STAYS PUT. I would definitely say that it’s one of my favorite eyeliners… maybe even HG status?!

Daily Brightening Undereye Cover Creme ($8.98) in DB1 has a rollerball applicator that feels fantastic under my eyes. The cool metal is really soothing. I seemed to have some issues with the flow of the product, but tapping it downward onto the back of my hand seemed to help get it going again. The formula sets fairly quickly and I felt that it had medium coverage, good length of wear and didn’t crease.

FLOWER Shadow Play Eyeshadow Quad in Dusk Til Dawn ($9.98) was a little on the sheer and ever so slightly chalky side for me. The packaging is adorable though!

Lip Service Lip Butter in Bare-ly There ($6.98) is a satiny smooth dream on my lips, that moisturizes for hours. It’s heavenly. And the packaging is GORGEOUS (albeit a bit bulky). It’s everything that I’ve ever wanted to find in a lip butter, but was never able to find until now. Bare-ly There is a great nude shade that’s borderline perfection. I’ve been carrying it around in my purse constantly.

Also shown on the left is Kiss Stick High Shine Lip Color in Cactus Flower ($6.98) and on the right is Lip Radiance High Shin Lip Lacquer in Cherry O! (7.98), two bright shiny reds that Stef had to hoard!

The FLOWER collection also has tons of other products in bloom, including a full line of makeup, nail polish, brushes, fragrance, bags and glasses! Take a look…

I mean, how cute are these? These are the Charlie model ($39.98), which you can even add a RX too. Make sure you stop in one of Walmart’s optical centers and take a look at the whole line of glasses and sunglasses. Stef was impressed, you will be too!

Flower Nail’d It Top Coat Nail Lacquer in Gold ($4.04) is a total gold top coat explosion. It can be tricky to apply (like all chunky lacquers are) but it’s worth it.

Transforming Touch Powder-To-Creme Blush ($12.98) is very cool, literally! The loose powder feels cool and damp to the touch, then transforms to a creme on your skin. Win Some Rouge Some Creme Blush ($8.98) is velvety, creamy and gorgeous.

I am definitely going to go pick up some more budget-friendly beauties for my bouquet. How about you?

  1. I really love this line, Drew Barrymore has done such a great job! I only have face products from them but I’ve been looking at some of their lip products, too!

    1. Do it! I think her lip products are my favorite part of the line! Thanks for your comment Kelly.

  2. I’m excited to try some of these products and those sunglasses are really cool! I got to test out Flower’s fragrance Sultry, and while it was a little strong for my taste, I think some of the other scents may be more my style. It came in a great size bottle and you can’t beat the price.

  3. I need to go over to Walmart.. I have never been there! I got to try out FLOWER fragrance, Sparkling Garden. FLOWER Sparkling Garden Eau de Parfum Spray is pretty amazing stuff! It smells so clean on and I love the compliments that follow when wearing it! FLOWER fragrance is like a handful of blooming flowers, this has heavy rose and peony.

  4. I have a few things from this line–love that powder-to-creme blush especially– and like them a lot, but I never realized there are other products, too! Will definitely check out the glasses.

  5. Am I the only one that wishes Drew Barrymore was their bff? She seems super sweet and fun. Plus she knows her way around a makeup drawer (or in my case, closet). I’ve tried numerous products from Flower and the cream blushes are probably my favorite product, which isn’t a huge leap because I may be addicted to cream blush. I’ll be trying that kohl eye liner next…

  6. I’ll take the powder to cream blush, please! I love when celebrity lines look just like you’d expect. This does!

  7. I just got the foundation today and I love it! This whole line is just great quality. I have a lip chubby that I adore and a brush that does better than an urban decay brush.
