The 2015 Holiday Season started off with a bang, with Christmas music filling my house…the day after Halloween! (I’m not gonna lie, I was actually OK with this since my toddlers like to sing along). Maybe you think that was too early, that you’d have plenty of time to shop. But now, just a week and a half until Christmas, you really need to shop. I have you covered in the home decorating arena, which happens to be a passion of mine. You can still do this!
If any of you watch Fixer Upper on HGTV, (my absolute favorite) JoAnna and Chip Gaines have their own home décor store, Magnolia Market, with some great pieces that are bound to make anyone happy. I think I could have done this entire gift guide using just their store.
They have some great decorating pieces, like these hanging wire baskets with chalkboard signs ($28) that you could fill with a homemade baked good. Or, their French canisters ($16) would make a great hostess gift, filled with something yummy or even flowers.
My other favorite spot to pick up fabulous gifts is Anthropologie. Not only do they have some amazing little home décor trinkets, but I’ve gotten soaps, lotions, gloves and more that have made some awesome Christmas presents. Check out these fabulous Ice Crackle Monogram Letters ($28). One letter would be bold, or go for broke and get a whole monogram.
World Market always has some great pieces that won’t break the bank. I love this Life Does Not Have to Be Perfect Wall Décor Sign ($34.99), a great reminder not just during the holidays, but always!
Target will always have something for everyone. I find their Threshold brand to have great home and home décor everything! The 5″ x 7″ Threshold Frames ($14.99) are all over my house and I’ve given them as gifts on numerous occasions. I love the industrial combo of wood with metal and you can’t beat the price. I also love this Threshold Buffalo Check Sherpa Throw ($24.99), which will be one of those gifts where I pick one up for myself too.
You can NOT go wrong with a candle. And candles don’t get any more fabulous than this Ted Baker London City Candle ($47). Part of the Residence collection, each candle tells a scent tale about its namesake city. I tried New York, an intoxicating blend of Cedarwood and Vanilla, which reminisces about a glamourous night in the 1920s. Other cities are Sydney, Miami, London, Athens and Tokyo, all in matte white reusable vases stamped with delicate geometric design. LOVE.
But what if your giftee isn’t a candle fan? (Or has a husband who blows them out as fast as they light them? I left a candle burning overnight one time, ONE!) Then, you go with room spray. But not just any room spray, the best one I’ve ever tried: Sabon Patchouli Room Spray ($22). If you’re a regular reader, you know I’ve been having a love affair with the brand, and products like this are why. This scents a room with just two little sprays because it is so concentrated. You can even use it on linens or as a perfume, which you WILL want to do. Sabon’s Patchouli, like their Musk, is divine.
Check out the retro atomizer dispensers too, which just beg to be used while laying on a chaise lounge.
So get out there and start shopping…the days are numbered! These choices for the home will get you through your list in no time.
