That and more in The Lipstick League, week of 8.15.16

Question of the Week: What is your ride-or-die eyeliner (the one that is 100% dependable and never lets you down)?

Answer: Though the relationship is still young, I have fallen hard for the new NARS Velvet Eyeliner ($24). It’s creamy without being TOO creamy, meaning it blends fabulously if that’s what you want, or give it a fresh sharpen and you can get a precise cat-eye. It also offers pigment galore in just one stroke and wears all day, errday.

These three shades are part of the fall 2016 lineup (eight liners in all). From left to right, they are:
Mambo: dark reddish brown
London: dark dove grey
Darklight rich navy

With these, I pretty much have my fall eyeliner wardrobe! And my new ride or die liner.

Nouveau Cheap is Currently Craving: popular K-beauty brand It’s Skin Cookie & Body Ice Cream ($10). It’s a body cream that looks and smells like cookies & cream ice cream, and the “soft cookie chip pieces” melt into the skin during application. Oh and the packaging looks like a pint of ice cream. #NEED

  1. Stila’s Stay All Day waterproof liquid eyeliner is straight magic!

  2. MAC Chromaline in Black Black is my go-to eyeliner. It’s really pigmented and lasts all day. And at $21 for 0.17oz is a steal–it’s a lot of product!

  3. The last time I had an eyeliner that never failed me, was the late 90’s, early 2000’s. Clinique made a great liner called “Shadow Liner” that was a powdery pencil that was perfect for lining eyes or defining brows and it wore extremely well on me and looked extremely natural. Of course, they discontinued it and I’ve been hunting for my holy grail ever since…*sigh*
