BlissLights: One Little Light Can Decorate Your WHOLE House

I come from a family of shoppers. Let me rephrase that, FEMALE shoppers. The women in my family? World class deal hunters who can spend an entire day, we’re talking sunshine to sunset, popping from thrift stores, yard sales and malls. The men in my family, whether by blood or marriage? Well, they’re the ones we hide our finds from! “This old thing? I’ve had it forever!” (To be said after a bag is brought into the house by moonlight and hid in the closet for a few days.) My mother taught me this technique. And I use it often.

So when I was back in my hometown recently at my Aunt and Uncle’s, it wasn’t uncommon that my Aunt was walking me around her house showing me her latest acquisitions. It was then that I first learned about BlissLights.

She pulled out a small black lamp that looked like a spotlight on a stake. “OH! Have you ever seen BlissLights before?” she gleefully asked. “Lou!” she yelled to my Uncle. “Turn off that light.” Lou did what he was told, and in that moment a new obsession was born.

The ENTIRE room filled with tiny pinpoints of bright light. As a matter of fact, they spilled into the next room too. Floor to ceiling, we’re talking thousands of points of light. It was breathtaking, as you can see for yourself.

“OMG! I need these. What are they called? Where did you get them?” My questions came in rapid fire, as did her answers: You do need them! BlissLights. I got them on QVC. It wasn’t until I got to “How much are they?” did the convo come to a screeching halt. I had broken a family cardinal rule. You DO NOT talk about the price of things when men were present! She shot me a look of sheer horror, mumbled something about not remembering and bounced straight into showing me something else.

BlissLights are indoor/outdoor lights that produce results that would impress even a Hollywood lighting tech. They bring the latest holographic, laser and lighting technology straight to lil’ ol’ you! Whether you want to bathe your backyard in a sea of color for a summer party, or light your entire yard for the holidays with just a flick of the switch; they got you covered.

I got to check out the newest in their range BlissLights Motion Firefly Laser Projector. It retails for $139 (so you see why my Aunt flashed me the look!) but I tell you what, they’re worth every penny.

The “Firefly” refers to the motion of the light, as circular groups of pinpoints swirl and move in motion, like lightening bugs dancing across your lawn. The remote control regulates the speed. One light covers a 50 square foot area. The closer you put it to an object, the closer the fireflies groupings are to each other.

It has elevated our impromptu dance parties. It has saved me from having to spend a whole day decorating our house with countless strings of lights this upcoming holiday season. It has found a place deep within my prized shopping possessions.

It’s official: we heart Blisslights.
