We are thrilled to announce that we heart this will once again be sponsoring the Raffle for the Rescues during the annual Race for the Rescues at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. If you are in Southern California (or are planning a visit) mark the date, Sunday October 24th, and please join us, plus celebrity hosts Jane Lynch (Glee), Carrie Ann Inaba (Dancing With The Stars) and Danielle Fishel (The Dish), for a day of fun and beauty for a good cause.
This event, hosted by The Rescue Train is a 5K run/walk, fundraiser and adoption day that benefits the homeless and abandoned animals of Los Angeles. In the past four years, Race For The Rescues has raised over $300,000 to help support various non-profit rescue groups, with not one dog or cat from the adoption event going back to a city shelter to face euthanasia.
We heart this will be there with a booth straining under the weight of 10 Prize Raffle Baskets bursting with home and beauty goodies (seriously, check out last years prizes – 09 Raffle Baskets) that will be raffled off to 10 lucky winners – all proceeds going directly to the Race for the Rescues. And if you can’t be there in person, we will be selling raffle tickets online, so all of our readers can enter!
Even better? GIFT BAGS! That’s right, for a nominal donation of 20 bucks, you can walk away with 5 raffle tickets and a Gift Bag o’ Swag from some of wht’s most beloved companies. And, for the first time the Gift Bags will be available with online donations as well! If you are willing to cover the postage (about $10) we’re willing to ship! For a taste of what you may find inside you bag, check out our Gift Bag 09 roll call from last years event.
Complete details on all the raffle prizes, gift bag products and how to enter the Raffle for the Rescues to come (we’re working to make this event even bigger and better that last years!) For now, save the date (that’s Sunday, October 24th) and skip a few lattes over the next few weeks so you can donate (and snag a gift bag) to this worthy event!
