There are times when I fancy myself a mixologist. And then, there are times when I’d rather someone else do the mixing for me. This Memorial Day, it’s the later. And that is due in large part to these Sandra Lee Cocktail Time Margaritas being damn tasty!
The Emmy-winning chef who brought the term “semi-homemade” into our lives (thanks for that Sandra, it’s a kitchen game changer!) has just launched Cocktail Time Margaritas in two flavors, Key Lime and Strawberry. Infused with fruit, pure cane sugar, premium blue agave silver tequila, triple sec and other natural flavors, the Margaritas weigh in with fewer than 150 calories per 4 oz serving.
You can serve these straight from the bottle if you want to keep it real low key. Or, use them as a base to make a whole slew of other drinks, from Cosmos and Coladas to Martinis and Mojitos. There are recipes right on the bottle, or on her site CocktailTime.com
I went with a Starita, a sweet lil’ drink perfect for parties and SO easy to remember. It’s a quarter cup each of these four ingredients: Key Lime and Strawberry Margaritas, cranberry juice and lemon-lime soda (I substituted ginger ale), plus a splash of lemon juice and garnishes. I added a strawberry sugar rim too because you should always rim if you can!
The Key Lime Margarita is definitely my favorite of the two (I prefer a tart drink to a sweet one). I can’t wait to pair it with grapefruit soda. So, next time you’re looking for simple and delicious cocktail recipes – Sandra Lee Margaritas have you covered.
