That and more in The Lipstick League, week of 7.2.18

Question of the Week: How do you protect your hair from damage in the summer?

Answer: I tend to use my flat iron more in the summer. So any damage I might get is all from heat styling. (I wish it was from the pool or the beach; much more fun!) My favorite heat protectant Living Proof Restore Instant Protection Spray ($27, 5.5.oz) because it not only protects, it leaves my hair super shiny too.

  1. ALTERNA Haircare is my go-to summer hair care!
But boy I realllllly love my CAVIAR CC Cream 10-in-1 Complete Correction.
This is a leave-in hair treatment and styling cream that corrects problem hair from the hot sun! It gives extra moisture to give shine, smoothness, even has UV protection!

  2. I don’t really do anything special in the summer to protect my hair, I just generally try to take better care of my strands the entire year round. I do love using Briogeo Rosarco Milk leave-in conditioning spray on my towel-dried hair and then I let my hair air dry. I’m really careful about limiting heat styling on my hair in general, but I really avoid it in the summer. And if I’m going to be out in the sun all day, I wear a hat–that’s as much to protect my face as it is my hair/scalp.
