|Me in a nutshell||
Quirky/Silly/Spunky. Like looking at pretty/whimsical things. Work with kids, husband works with kids, like to do non-kid things in the spare time.
Pretty things! Working with toddlers, playing with kid toys, crafts, chocolate, lip products, sweaters, bags, baking, eye shadow, sticky notes, lists.

|I NEVER go without these||
|Biggest splurge or steal in my closet||
My best steal is a pair of BCBG espadrilles with gold satin bows at the toes and gold sequins all over the heels/platforms- got them at a discount store. I also have a pair of cheap black and white slingback heels with 1940s-style rounded toes and a flower on each toe- a woman once offered to buy them off my feet!
|do-gooder: Why I am one||
My husband is a youth pastor who works with middle school kids (grades 6-8), and I volunteer as a alongside him, usually on a weekly basis. A lot of people don’t know what to do with kids that age, but I love them and feel like we’re making a difference by taking the time to listen to and love these weird adolescents!
Other than that (which seems like an obligation to fit the “pastor’s wife” role sometimes), something I like to do from time to time is buy a gift card to a grocery store or fast food place and keep it in my glovebox for when I see someone in need (like by the side of the road or in the parking lot).
I also work with kids who have autism. Some people have trouble with this diagnosis, but they have been my joy over the years.

|home & living:My favorite room in my house||
The kitchen. We weren’t sure about it when we bought the house, but it ended up that our favorite- and most troublesome- piece, our buffet, fits perfectly and is so functional in what is actually quite a small space.

Chicken & red pepper with coconut rice and black beans. Sounds fancy, but it’s easy!
