Polish: Nuance Vapor (muted violet grey)

I like Nuance Vapor a lot on it’s own (shown left above). But I was so happy with the Midas touch on my Birchbox napkin DIY a few weeks ago that I decided to gold leaf it. I just dabbed gold fabric paint on with a sponge, added a top coat and voilà!

we heartsters – have you ever added anything to your nails that was meant for something else?

  1. Stef, you innocent-eyed vixen, you! Wow–I love this look. I haven’t taken the time to try something this creative, and it is ultimately flattering on your nails! Just hand over the paint and sponge and no one will get hurt . . .

  2. Okay fancy fingertips @stef, you are something else with trying just about anything for the beauty of it! I like this too, just cannot wear this on my fingernails at work… However, I sure can do that to my tootsies!
As far as the question: I’ve used Crazy Glue to repair a bad nail tear that helped stay in one piece while it grew out.

  3. Wow, you’re on a role @Stef ! Yet another mani I want to replicate! How the heck did you do that with a sponge, I feel like mine will turn into a blotchy mess, but I am definitely trying this.
