LOVING the bright orange lip Diane Kendal created for Jason Wu with MAC. The inspiration? “Fifties and Nineties pop art inspired by the artist KAWS.”
Fun fact, Wu partnered with KAWS to create a floating petal print, which at close view revealed the artist’s signature “hands” motif (used in ode to how many hands played a part in creating the soft blouses and skirts).
Check out Fashionista to see a closer look at the clothes.
Here’s how to get the look…
FACE: Studio Finish Concealer — perfects skin only where needed. Blot Powder/Pressed — applied over the center of the face for a polished effect. Silver Dusk Iridescent Powder — dusted above cheekbones, over bridge of nose, and inner corners of the lower lashes for a highlight. Cubic Powder Blush — blended over the lower apples of cheeks with 129 Brush.
EYE: Blacktrack Fluidline — applied with 210 Brush with precision through the upper lashline only with a minute extension on the outer corners. M·A·C Pro Gloss Texture — dabbled over eyelids for a soft sheen
LIP: Redd Lip Pencil — contours and defines the lip. Scarlet Ibis Lipstick (available Spring/Summer 2012) — applied over the entire lip. M·A·C Pro Acid Orange Pigment — patted over the lips with 219 Brush to finish.

That lip color is really pretty on the model, especially with her fair skin.
Wowza! That does look smashing on her- It’s a head turner! Wish I could pull these colors off! :)
Love it. Orange lips had a “little old lady” feel for a while, but I think the recent popularity of all things coral has put pure orange back in style.
I’ve got to say it is a lot more flattering than I would image ~ I guess it helps when you’re a super model!
ah! of course that lipstick isn’t out until next Spring ;)
I absolutely adore the orange lip! Kind of hard to find a drugstore alternative to a bright orange lipstick.
i’m in LOVE with the orange lip look!
however, i feel that unlike the red lip, the orange lip isn’t as versatile on all skin tones:( but maybe i’m wrong!
xxx-
