As a member of the Glam Beauty Board, I get to look forward to seasonal packages showing up on my doorstep, filled with the latest and greatest. Fab, right? Spring’s box was no exception, it arrived heavy with products that will lighten you up as the temperature rises.

First up is L’Eau de Chloé ($65 – $85), the just launched lighter version of the original Chloé scent. If you could bottle spring, I’m pretty sure it would smell like this. It’s made with 22% rosewater, but with added citrus notes taking the lead it’s more of a green scent than a floral. It’s crisp, fresh and utterly pretty. The vintage looking bottle has me in a tizzy too.

Next stop, makeup! And the products that had me looking like a spring chick.

That big box of pretty is the PixiGlow Fairy Face Palette in Pixi Belle ($34). This is Pixi’s Tinkerbell inspired line for Target. Now I’ll admit, my taste in Disney characters (and makeup themes) leans more towards glamorous evil queens, but it’s hard not to love this palette.

There are five pigmented shimmery shadows ranging from champagne to chocolate, five pink lip creams (think glossy lipstick) and a big ol’ mosaic blush/highlighter trio. Add mascara and you’re set.

BeautyBoardSpring12I Glam Beauty Board – spring 2012 trend reviewAdd mascara is exactly what I did with NP Set Glamorista mascara ($15). I’m already a big fan of Napoleon Perdis’ Target line, and this mascara sealed the deal. It’s got my #1 criteria for mascara; plastic bristles. But then it goes two steps further. The wand is flexible, so you can really wiggle it into your lashes. And the bristles are long on one side and short on the other. I used the long bristles to sweep it on, then the short side for the tips. Added bonuses, I got virtually no clumps, the formula feels moisturizing AND it smells sweet. LOVE this.

A quick shout out for another product from PixiGlow, Straight on Till Morning Liner in 2nd Star Twinkle ($14), a waterproof gel liner in the most beautiful khaki with gold shimmer.

The package also had Jemma Kidd i-sculpt shadow and liner duo ($17). I got to try Kings Rd., a dark shimmery plum. I wish I liked the pencil side more. It’s got a unique flat shape but it’s a bit hard and therefor kind of stiff to apply. But I’m all over the shadow side, which delivers the perfect smudge with a slightly sticky consistency (so it stays put).

Long time fans (like us) will be happy to know there’s a new sugar balm in the Fresh line up. Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment ($25) has the scrumptious scent we all love, but added benefits that makes it so much more than just a balm. The formula is even smoother and creamier than the original, thanks to a host of amazing ingredients. Sea Fennel to smooth lines and wrinkles. Orange extract provides antioxidants that protect. And a mix of butters and oils that hydrate and repair. All that plus hyaluronic filing spheres that plump your lips too. See if you reach for anything else if you add this to your balm arsenal!

As if that isn’t enough, the package included a bevy of products that are both vacation friendly and will help you save time. Who wouldn’t like a bit more time to soak up the spring sun?

My absolute favorites came from Oscar Blandi. The Volumizing Dry Shampoo ($23) is a game changer. I prefer spray dry shampoos to powder, but I’ve never had one that made my hair look not just cleaner, but better. Think about it, this solves two problems at once: absorbing oil so your hair looks cleaner between washes and adding volume EXACTLY where your hair needs it; in the limp roots. All this and no powdery residue. I don’t know how I existed without this!

And something that I shouldn’t have existed without: Dry Styling Heat Protect Spray ($23), which protects your hair up to 450 degrees and strengthens it with keratin.

Next up, the lazy…um..busy girl’s best friend: makeup remover wipes; Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes ($7.99 for a refill) Keep them on your bedside table for nights you just can’t muster up the strength to wash (oh, you know you have those!) They have a very light scent, feel very gentle and remove even the most stubborn makeup.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Eye Illuminator ($12) is a futuristic looking pod filled with a soy complex, light diffusing gel that you apply via a brush.

Finally, Neova Breakout Control Swabs ($26) are a pack of 36 swabs filled with a 2% salicylic acid mixture that can treat breakouts on the go. All you do is snap them, the medicine fills up the tip, you apply then toss. I promptly placed a few in every overnight bag I own!

Wow, this post is filled with stuff I want! I agree, that perfume bottle is gorgeous. I use Oscar Blandi’s dry shampoo and love it, it works really well. The breakout swabs look great too…have to get some of those since my post pregnancy hormones are all over the place and causing breakouts!

There are so many products in your post that have me a crazed with desire… like the khaki eye pencil from Pixi; the Aveeno eye Illuminator; the Fresh Sugar lip treatment; and, most of all, L’Eau de Chloé. The idea of a green scent full of rosewater sounds like springtime to me. I can’t wait to give it a sniff as soon as possible!

The only product I’ve used is the Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes, which are really nice— gentle and effective.

@Stef you just made me want to run out and go shopping right this minute. So many great products you listed. First off, I love the Neutrogena wipes. I buy them in bulk at Costco. Wonderful for travel and late nights when you would rather fall asleep than wash your face. They do a great job removing makeup especially around the eye area. I’ve been wanting to try the new Sugar balm. I think I own every other one they make. That Pixi palatte looks so nice. Can’t believe it’s at Target. So hoping mine has it in stock. Great spring finds!

I got a chance to gawk at all these Beauty Board items when @Stef was photographing them ~ and I was loving a number of these goodies. I was most coveting the L’Eau de Chloé – I have an LE Chloé scent that’s similar – but has much simpler bottle. Loving the shape and green hue of this new perfume!

And I know that the very next time I’m able to go get a little splurge for myself it is going to be for the Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip balm. I adore the original (and have a couple of the tinted versions) but I admit sometimes I wish it had a bit more oomph to it. Can’t wait to try this new formula!

Oh wow, that Pixi eyeliner in 2nd Star Twinkle is so pretty! I’m going to have to go to Target to see it in person.
Also, Neutrogena MakeUp Removing towelettes are FANTASTIC. They remove ALL my eye makeup, waterproof and the like, with only a few swipes. They don’t leave that funny residue on your face like some wipes can, and that’s a huge plus for me. I highly recommend!

The Tinker Bell palette is so cute, although I usually stick to palettes with only one type of product. I’m a fan of Neutrogena makeup removing wipes–they do sting just a little, and I find the fragrance a little strong, but they do a fabulous job of getting off makeup, even waterproof mascara and long-wearing liquid foundation.

Also, that PixiGlow eyeliner in 2nd Star Twinkle totally looks like a dupe for Urban Decay’s eyeliner in Stash.

I want all of this! You are more than perfect for this perk from Glam’s Beauty Board!! I love the Neutrogena make up removing towelette and I just was in Fresh last week and tested out the newbie. I love the balms already but the Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip balm is amazing feeling on.. and especially good for overnight repair and I’m told it natually plumps your lips.. Good stuff!

@Stef you must’ve had the best day receiving this set of goodies ;) Everything you got looks really amazing, ESPECIALLY the Chloe perfume which is oh so springy looking and cute just by looking at it…I’m also interested in that mascara and as always, a Fresh sugar lip treatment that I vow time and time again to one day try…

I received the Aveeno Positively Radiant Eye Illuminator to try and I wanted to like this so bad. I will give almost every under eye product under the sun a try. I have bags that don’t really go away and I figure anything could be a miracle product if I just try it :) First off, I loved the cute packaging. It fits nicely in my hand and I like the brush applicator. A bit extra product came out onto the brush but it’s okay. Unfortunately when I used the product, it burned my undereye area slightly. Sometimes I feel like I have sensitive skin, but other times I think I have really tough skin so I am not positive what the case (or ingredient) may be. I received no reactions that are visible to the eye so that’s a good thing! I love Aveeno products but I don’t think this one is for me.

I just got the PixiGlow Fairy Face Palette in Pixi Belle. I am over the moon with this compact. It has everything you need (except mascara) in one substantial/durable palette. If you travel for work or are just on the go –this is for you. I love that I have everything in one central location. The color combinations are endless and have a lot of staying power–even without primer.

This was my first Pixi product but, it will not be my last.
