Bella -issimo! A sweet, flirty floral comes a-knocking.

I love being a girl! I know at my age I should say woman, but I think as I grow older I will never stop enjoying being…well, a girl. I love dresses, high heels with bows and sparkles and a flirty, feminine fragrance. All the things that make a woman a woman are right up my alley. This is why I let out a high-pitched squeak when I opened Benefit’s newest fragrance, Ring My Bella.

Those who know me, know I am a total sucker for packaging. And I must tell you Ring My Bella’s presentation is divine. One of four scents in Benefit’s Crescent Row eau de toilettes collection, the outer box and bottle are so adorable, it would be a welcome addition to any lady’s dressing table.

The outer packaging resembles a lingerie store fitting room. When you lift the lid, the front panel of the box opens to reveal the bottle housed inside, in front of a mini lingerie store. The gold bottle is covered in a girly, multi-colored label. This bright, fun packaging perfectly suits the flirty scent inside.

Ring My Bella ($36) is a surprisingly complex blend with top notes of pink rose petals, lily and daisy, middle notes of Egyptian jasmine and peony and a base of white patchouli, vanilla and musk. The mix of floral notes somehow come together to create a scent that is very much fruity and tropical.

The fragrance is sweet, yet has a lingering musk twinge to it. I am used to more citrusy or woodsy scents, so Ring My Bella seems a bit sugary for my tastes…but it is a nice and feminine fragrance overall. Addionally, the bright fragrance is not overwhelming in power, while lasting all day long.

It gives a fresh spin on a rose based scent and has a young, flirty feel the girly-girl in your life would love. It’s a reasonably priced holiday gift with lush packaging that will make a big impression upon opening.

Pros:
Long-lasting, feminine fragrance
Cute-as-a-button packaging
Affordable – and very giftable – at $36

Cons:
May be a bit on the sweet side for some

  1. The packaging is so fabulous! Somehow, I have yet to sniff the Benefit fragrances but will fix that soon (I see some Sephora shopping in my future). I want to see and smell all of the Crescent Row scents (and just added them to my shopping list!)

  2. Yep, the martini shaker-esque packaging of these are just divine! I think these make a great gift for someone who you know likes girly scents.

  3. The packaging is adorable! I think I’d keep the “shaker” on my dresser even if I didn’t like the scent. I’m curious, @glamazon56 , how tall is the bottle?

  4. @glamazon56 — What a great review!! I am going to have to check this out. I plan on going to Sephora on Black Friday. They have some amazing deals.

  5. So cute!! I wish my niece “Bella” was just a few years older.. I would love to get her this! :)

  6. Another hit from Benefit! They’ve done a great job creating a line of simple, affordable fragrances for nearly every taste. The packaging is so cute you don’t even have to wrap it! Admittedly lazy, I’ve just thrown a bow on the top and called it a day when gifting one of these fragrances. Great review @Glamazon56 !

  7. The packaging is super cute! I haven’t tried any of the Crescent Row scents yet, but I’m looking to try something new, so I’ll have to take a whiff :)

  8. I’ve been wondering how Benefit’s fragrances are…definitely love the packaging. I tend to prefer mini sizes when it comes to fragrances though, so needless to say the Crescent Row set has been on my mind for some time.
