(If you are interested, our disclosure policy can be found here.)
Like the we heart this site, our FAQ page is a work in progress. So, check back often, you might learn something new! If you don’t see the answer you’re searching for, email us and we’ll do our best to sort you out.
A Note on Emails:
we heart this will not share your email address or information with anyone. We promise not to bombard you with multiple emails and offers and we will never give your email address to a third party.
Check your junk email folder. There’s a good chance it may be hiding in there. If not, and 48 hours have passed, you should sign up again. If the problem persists, contact us and we’ll try to get to the bottom of it!
First, log-in using your current (or wht generated) password. From the grey Buddy Bar at the top of the page, hover over your name in the top right corner, then Settings, then General. (You can also do this directly on your profile page.) Enter your new password twice and select Save Changes.
If you are a we heart this member, email us your username and blog url and you will be able to get a link at the end of your comments that will promote your own blog via CommentLuv! (Important: only we can activate this feature for you.)
Once you’ve emailed us, all you do is check the CommentLuv box at the bottom of the comment field in any post. This will pull your blog’s latest post in as a link on any comment you leave.
If you are not a member, entering your url in the Your Homepage field and checking the CommentLuv box when you post a comment will do the same thing.
And if you register your blog at CommentLuv you’ll even be able to choose from your last 10 blog posts!
You can mention a user in any comment you leave on we heart this by using a talkback: @username (just as you would on Twitter). These talkbacks become active links that connect to the user’s profile page. Then, when a member is on their profile page and selects Activity, then @mentions, they will see all of the posts where other members have mentioned them! Important: make sure to use a member’s username rather than their full name in order for it to link.
You can also send any member a private message by selecting the link on their profile page.
Once you’re logged in to your account, in the grey Buddy Bar at the top of the page, hover over your name in the top right corner, then Settings, then Notifications. (You can also do this directly on your profile page.) Hint: the Notifications link on the buddy bar will always alert you if you have any notifications (messages, new friend requests, etc.)
All members are also automatically signed up for our weekly email newsletter. If you no longer wish to receive it, choose the unsubscribe link in the email.
Easy, just edit it! This is a required field, but aliases or initials are ok with us. Log in to your account, and from the grey Buddy Bar at the top of the page hover over your name in the top right corner, then Edit Profile. (You can also do this directly on your profile page.) Here you will be able to change the answers to any of your sign up questions. It’s also where you will find our “Tell Me More” questions (which will make your profile page even more fun and give you a second entry into any of our giveaway that you enter). See faq #10 for more info on those.
We put out calls for new testers as the need arises. Keep your eyes peeled! But if you think we need to add you right away, email us and tell us why! We may just agree..
Because she filled out the Tell Us More section on her profile. Here’s how you do it: Log in to your account, and from the grey Buddy Bar at the top of the page hover over your name in the top right corner, then Edit Profile. And what are all those orange links all over my profile page? Answer: They are a very cool feature of our social platform of choice Buddypress. Clicking on any of the randomly generated links on your profile page will create a search page of other wht members who list the same items on their profile. As we continue to grow, this will keep you in touch with other members with similar interests to yours.
