It’s hard to believe our time as Skinny Cow Glamp Counselors is coming to an end. It seems like just yesterday we were embarking on the adventure of a lifetime; a weekend at The Resort at Paws Up in Montana.

It was then that it was solidified for us that you really can have it all. The great outdoors? Absolutely! As long as you rest your head on high thread count sheets at night. Hiking in the mountains? Sure, as long as there’s an artisnal cocktail waiting when I get back.

And perhaps the most important thing learned on this glamping journey – delicious and sensible do not have to be two separate things when it comes to treats. Though truthfully, as long time fans of Skinny Cow Ice Cream and Candy, we kind of knew that already. Snacking on the Divine Caramel Filled Chocolates while enjoying a little time under the Montana sky only confirmed our suspicions!

You know who’s about to learn all this firsthand? The nine lucky winners of the Skinny Cow Glamping Giveaway! They (and their BFFs) are going to have the time of their lives. And for these gals and all future glampers, we’ve got a few glamping tips to share based on our adventure.

1. Though the “glamp” in glamping comes from glamorous, embrace the low-key atmosphere and know there’s no need for a face full of makeup. A great lipstick and some mascara will take you very far.

2. But never, EVER forget your SPF – you’ll be spending a lot of time in the sun.

3. Boots are made for walking…and riding, sitting, hiking etc. So you can skip the heels on this vacation a – just make sure to pack you favorite boots and go get your cowgirl on.

4. Layers are key! It can be cold in the early morning and evening and hot during the day. Pack and wear lightweight layers, then remove/put on as needed.

5. Don’t skip horseback riding. Everyone in our group who skipped the opportunity regretted doing so. Seeing the beautiful Montana ranch atop of a horse was our very favorite moment of the trip!

I can’t wait to hear all about what the winners think of Paws Up and this incredible trip. Until then, I’ll be enjoying my new favorite Skinny Cow treat (Cookies N’ Dough Ice Cream Bars) in my own version of big sky country – my backyard!

  1. @stef I have never tried skinny cow candy. I am however well acquainted with their Ice cream sandwiches. I am tempted. Thanks for sharing your trip once again.

  2. So much fun! I love ice cream sandwiches and Skinny Cow’s are my faves! Gotta check out the candy now, sounds yummy!
What I love most about your pictures from this Glamping trip is the horseback riding you got to do! I really really love riding and haven’t’ in years.. I would imagine its like getting back on a bike or a surf board after years of not being on one.. you don’t forget how to do it! or in your case @stef, like roller-skating..

  3. MMM Skinny Cow ice cream is the way to go… I don’t care much for camping, but GLAMping sounds like a good time!
