Holiday at Sephora: LORAC Box Office Sensation

Hold on to your makeup-lovin’ chapeaus! Number nine in our Ten Last Minute Holiday Gifts at Sephora list is the massive LORAC Box Office Sensation ($56), a whopping 49 products for the eyes, lips and cheeks in mirrored mock-train case with swing out shelves.
The case itself is rather compact (7 inches long x 4 high x 5 wide), so it’s especially impressive how many products this collection has! You (or whoever you gift this to) will have months of looks.
Tier one is the first of two eye shadow layers; 18 warm toned shades. Here you’ll find a beautiful range of browns, golds and greens.
In tier two you’ll find your cool tones (another 18 shadows), steely grays and blues on the left, a range of purples on the right.
And last but not least, tier three gives you nine lip glosses, three blushes and a bronzer. Whew!
The range of eye shadows in this collection is really impressive. All are very wearable, as LORAC shades tend to be. They’re very finely milled, but not overly pigmented. If you’re looking for outrageous, intense color – this isn’t the collection for you. Who is it the collection for? I think this would be ideal for a budding makeup addict, someone who travels a lot (because of the compact size and range of looks), or anyone who just likes to play with makeup! I primarily buy warm tones for myself, but it’s fun to play with cool toned shades when given the chance (and I love finding combos that work well, that I’d never pick out or buy for myself).
I have to say, the blushes and bronzer are especially nice; richly pigmented and cover every basic cheek look you would need. Though I’m not a fan of lip products in palettes, it’s smart that they are on a separate layer (to avoid shadow dust).

LORAC makes some very nice products. I saw this in Sephora, and while it wasn’t up my alley (it’s a bit large, and my stash is already huge, so I try to buy JUST the items I need), it would be a PERFECT present for a friend who doesn’t have a lot of makeup and wants to experiment a bit with her look. I almost bought it for a friend for Christmas!
Wow…what an amazing set! Would love to see this in person. Might have to make a trip to Sephora once again to see this one. Love LORAC and Santa still needs to get me a few more things.
LORAC is one of those companies that always wows me. Such nice products, this case is a great way to test out a big range of their products.
And I think this case would be the best gift ever for a college student. All that makeup in one place (and it stays in one place so nothing can be lost) and wrapped up in a cool, (not girly cute) case. Plus, you know, nothing would go to waste – these palettes can cover a roomful of girls getting ready for a big night!

How great would this be for a teen just getting into makeup??? This has pretty much everything she’d need & while it has some brighter colors in it, Lorac eye shadows go on as a sheer wash of color that is buildable, so it would be hard for a novice to overdo it. I have a hard time passing up Lorac palettes–everything in them is usually ridiculously wearable.
Just looking at this Lorac Makeup case makes me weak in the knees! These shades are very pretty and wearble, which is not always the case in a palette. I really like Lorac products for their shade choices and quality, and at this price!? this is a must have for me!
Thanks to Sephora, I’m starting my work week with a new obsession. I MUST HAVE this! I’m a longtime fan of LORAC’s lip products, and I’ve heard great things about their eyeshadows. What a perfect opportunity to try everything, at a bargain price to boot!
WOW! I haven’t bought Lorac in a while but I want this kit. That’s a STEAL for the price and how much you get!
I love the professional look to this kit. Makes a perfect gift for someone interested in makeup but not fully obsessed. It has a very grown up feel to it and that look works for all ladies! – a teenager will feel very mature using this, and at the same time, some women don’t choose palettes from other companies because the packaging can come across gimmicky or cutesy. This falls right in the middle!
LORAC is just amazing!!! I think that are an often overlooked and underrated brand. But they always have such amazing and high quality products. And their gift sets always blow my mind! Who wouldn’t die to get this under the tree on Christmas morning? Gorgeous!!
