If you are or know someone that is a member of the Bare Escentuals entourage, make sure to get a look at gift number ten on our Ten Last Minute Holiday Gifts at Sephora list, the bareMinerals Shimmer & Shine Collection. It should catch your eye on the shelves; nicely sized, regal looking, purple and gold packaging.

Inside is a sturdy golden canvas box stampted bareMineral which opens to reveal a Bare Escentuals lovers dream…

A 10-piece collection of colorful bareMinerals products created to give all you need for eyes, lips and cheeks during the holiday season. Even better, this collection, a Sephora exclusive worth $142, retails for $54 and is on sale for only $45!

The collection offers two complete holiday (or any day) looks with an emphasis on the sparkle. Instructions are included to help you achieve the Shimmer look, “full of light-reflective shades…to set off brilliant sparkle” and the Shine, focusing on a “sexy, runway model sheen” using their mega-watt eye shadows.

Of course, what’s the fun in following directions? The entire collection can be mixed and matched together to create any number of looks, and you have enough choices to keep you busy well into the new year.

Helping with the application? The enclosed double sided Tapered Blush & Eyeshadow Brush, a standout brush with nice heft, soft bristles and endless uses.

The Tapered Blush side is especially nice for shaping, contouring and highlighting cheeks and more, like the the nose, jawline and forehead.

Now the fun part, the colors. The Shimmer & Shine Collection includes four Eyecolors (two per look): Flicker (a burnished violet), Shimmer (a frosted cappuccino), High Shine Gold Medal (a pale gold) and High Shine Vapor (a silver graphite with lots of sheen).

Plus two for the face, the Pink Petal Blush, a bright and poppy pink and the Clear Radiance All-Over Face Color for an all over glow. Additionally, not pictured but tucked inside is the Big & Bright Eyeliner in Intense Black.

Finally, to add some shine and color to lips, choose from two 100% Natural Lip Glosses, including my fave piece of the entire collection, the With a Twist gloss. It’s described as a ‘tulip pink’ and it’s the perfect soft pink; adding subtle color and a touch of shine and shimmer to lips.

For a bit more sparkle to your pout, reach for Sprinkles (a diamond shimmer), a soft golden hued gloss with tons of micro-glitter. This one is ready for some New Year’s Eve celebrating!

  1. I can’t figure out if I’m sad that I didn’t see this post this weekend when I was placing a Sephora order, or if I’m glad that this wasn’t ONE MORE DEAL that made me go “Ooo! Ooo! I need this!”

Seriously, I almost needed restraints to keep me from adding one more amazing deal for myself and not the gifts I was supposed to buy for others.
    Curse/Bless you, Sephora!!!

  2. I’m REALLY loving the shades they picked for this collection. Like, reconsidering my “no more loose shadows, you don’t like them!” stand…

  3. I have been unable to get on line since last Friday! It’s nuts how reliant I’ve become on it! I was in Sephora 3x last week- over 3 hours total! bareMinerals are so awesome.. really loved this. Talk about long lines at Sephora.. that’s an understatement! The excitement in the air is amazing – amazing! HO! Ho! ho!

  4. You really do get a lot for your money with this kit. The lipglosses look luscious and I think BE has great brushes!

  5. I’m not fluent in BE/bareMinerals but I was super impressed with the ‘bang for your buck’ of this set. Ten generously sized products, a few customer faves and few new (wearable) colors.

Most of all, I l-o-v-e-d the With a Twist gloss – such a pretty pink! And the brush is pretty awesome too. Love the double sided brushes that have two distinctly different uses (1 side covers face and cheeks – the other eyes) – so great for traveling.

  6. I have been lemming this set for so, so, so long. I’ve dropped the hint a few times, I really hope that my husband has caught on! BE has such beautiful products, and the four eye colors in this set are some of the best.
Sephora’s sets always give you so much bang for your buck, and having seen this set in person I assure you it will not disappoint. If you love BE, this set is for you!

  7. I’ve never tried Bare Minerals, but I love the colors they chose for this kit.

The one thing that irks me though is that double-sided brush. Double-sided brushes are a pain to clean (you don’t want any water going into the ferrule) and a pain to store if you store all of your brushes upright like I do. It’s harder for sanitary reasons (if you’re one of those people who go nutty about germs) as well as some of the powder inevitably gets stuck into the ferrule. It’s better for travel purposes, but that’s about it. I’d rather they included two brushes than one double-sided brush!

  8. These colors are stunning – and so are the pics, @stef! That pink gloss especially – I keep going back to that. And the eyeshadows are gorgeous too. I’m not well-versed either in BE, but I know that people who are sure are loyal to them. This kit would be a great intro to the line, because as others have said, you sure do get alot of bang for the buck!

  9. @katezena – I’m with you, double sided brushes irk me too. I’d rather just have 1 quality, 1 normal brush then one I can’t stand up in my cup!

@melinda@tyna took the pics on all these Sephora posts. Didn’t she do a good job?!

The more I look at Sprinkles, the more mesmerized I am…

  10. This looks like and amazing set. I am a pretty big bare minerals fan. I don’t love double sided brushes either. But I have otherwise always loved bare minerals brushes. The colors in this set sure are pretty!
