I was saving this Love Alert on the tarte Ring It In cheek stain set to post during the tarte 40% off Friends and Family sale (i.e. right now: use code FFDEC through 12/13). I was going to be the big hero, show you how amazing this set is, explain how much you needed it, you would immediately go pick it up for 40% off and pledge your eternal love for me and we heart this! Well, best laid plans…they sold out of it yesterday.
BUT…QVC and Ulta still have it! Yes, it will be full price, but that’s only $25. And $25 for this much joy is a steal. Run, don’t walk to get this set! Here’s why…
Umm, do you have eye balls?
I’m going to assume you do (because reading a blog would be very hard without ’em) but I’ll explain why you need this anyway. In list form, since we heart a good list!
- tarte cheek stains are the easiest way to get a healthy flush of color. I’ve found that dabbing them on (rather than swiping) gives you a lot more control over the application. Dab, then blend edges with fingers for guaranteed fabulousness!
- They are chock-full of ingredients that are good for your skin.
- They have a cooling effect on the skin, so they actually feel good too.
- They smell FABULOUS. Like wet flowers and herbs.
- The mini size allows you to easily pack all 3 of them on any getaway, and you’ll be covered for any makeup look that you may want to create.
- Also covering you in any makeup situation; they have varying degrees of shimmer. Luster is a true bronze, packed with shimmer. Flawless is peachy coral, with subtle shimmer. And Vivid is a bright, dolly pink, and shimmer-less!
Here are close up of my two must haves…
Luster
Bonus point: They packed these three beauties with an oversized gold ring that expands to fit any finger. Best part, you’ll actually wear this-it’s super cute! (and I’ll be adding a photo later).
So, while I apologize for not getting this post to you in time to get it at the F&F event, I can tell you- a full price purchase will not be regretted! This has been a we heart this Love Alert.

Can these colors possibly be as sheer, luminous and generally gorgeous as your swatches make them appear, @stef? I’m going to find out! Thanks for the tip. Ulta, here I come!
@stef, these really look super cool. Really great for a healthy glow, huh? I love all of them too. What will they come up with next? I bet they give a great finished look when applied over foundation or even alone!
Yes, they really are as fab as they look! It took me some time to get on the tarte cheek stain bus. But once I figured out how to apply them (dabbing vs. swiping) I am officially obsessed. Add to that the fact that these are LE, and well…I just had to have them!
Ohhhh….these are NICE. I used to be a big tarte user, but when I moved to mineral powder foundation, I found that they did NOT go well together. But now that I’m back on liquid, I think I need to give them another try. Flawless is calling my name….
I’ve been in love with Tarte cheek stains forever but they have outdone themselves with these colors! Wow. @Alyssa I’ve been the same – when I wear mineral makeup I can’t wear stains but I’ve been back to my old standard of no makeup so maybe it is time to try one of these! I’ll use any excuse. :)
I am a huge fan of Tarte Cheek Stains. I use them practically every day. I also use mineral make-up(more specifically mineral veil). I make it work by placing the stain on above my moisturizer or primer and then setting everything with my mineral veil. It works perfectly!
I don’t have this set, but I do have several tarte cheekstains. These are great for on the go touch-ups. They can leave a slight sticky feeling on the skin, but nothing too bad. I love the scent, the packaging, and the color selection. I rub my fingers across the top of the stain, and pat the color onto my cheeks.
