Lumenesse haircare photo: we heart this

I’m a haircare snob. I’m not proud to admit it, but it’s true. And I know I’m not alone. Maybe you’re like me, once you learned the joy of high-end haircare, you just couldn’t go back. Drugstore cosmetics, I can do (and I have fun exploring them). But a drugstore shampoo, or worse yet, conditioner? My hair rebels worse then a surly teen. So, I stick with things that make my hair happy. And unfortunately, what makes it happy leaves my wallet a bit sad.

But haircare snobs rejoice, this doesn’t have to be the case! Because BeautyTicket, the same folks who bring you luxury cosmetics at discount prices, is doing the same for haircare with their Lumenesse private sale October 20-22. Who is Lumenesse, you ask? (Don’t worry, I did too.) Well, they may just be your new favorite haircare line!

Lumenesse specializes in color care with the added bonus of fighting aging (that’s right, just like your skin, hair shows your age, isn’t that great?!) And to do so, have developed a complex, five amino acids linked together to stimulate collagen and elastin (ingredients that are a must for healthy hair). In addition to locking in color, it reconstructs and deeply conditions for visibly stronger and healthier hair.

I got to see the results for myself when I tested their Hydration Trio; Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, paired with the Shine Define Sculpting Lotion. All 3 items are pleasantly but unexpectedly scented; not quite floral, not quite fruity, just a kind of old-school soapy scent that I really liked. And greenies, listen up: they, like the entire line, are sulfate, sodium chloride, Paraben and DEA free. Instead you’ll find Aloe, Pomegranate, Green Tea, Rose Hips and Chamomile.

As soon as I put the first product in my hair I knew I was in for a treat. The Shampoo and Conditioner both felt creamy and rinsed well from my hair, leaving me rather tangle free (a near miracle with my abused locks). The Sculpting Lotion took a bit more work to figure out the perfect amount for my hair (the size of chickpea is all I need) but once I did, the combo of all 3 left my hair full of volume, shiny, calm and healthier then it’s looked in some time.

As you can imagine, specially developed scientific complexes paired with green sensibilities don’t come cheap. But that’s where BeautyTicket comes in…The Hydrating Trio, which is valued at $70, will be on sale for only $24.99 October 20-22! How do you access the sale? Just sign up! It’s free and will grant you entry into all their amazing sales.

So haircare snobs and bargain shoppers alike, get ready for the Lumenesse sale. Your hair will be happy you did!

  1. I’ve been using a drugstore brand shampoo lately and I’ve not been impressed by it at all. It smells good, but is leaving my hair dull and tangly. I’m thinking I’ll have to give Lumenesse a try. And with that BeautyTicket sale, I have no excuse not to get it now!

  2. Can I just interject here how much I love BeautyTicket.com? Even if you don’t want to take advantage of this sale, signing up is completely worth it because you get the inside scoop on upcoming sales and can budget accordingly if you have to.

“Sorry kids, it’s beanie weenies again tonight, Momma needs a new lip gloss!”

KIDDING. I don’t have kids. Don’t call CPS.
But do sign up for BeautyTicket.

  3. @lyssachelle I love beanie weenies! It is one of the best things that I cook. Sad, I know. But I do fancy them up as much as possible.

I have long wondered about Lumenesse. I may have to give them a try with this sale.

    And who doesn’t love BeautyTicket.com???
They always have the best prices. Which of course makes it so easy to try new things like this!

  4. Anyone know Pureology? This line looks the spitting image, doesn’t it? Like, so much so that I wonder if they’re related somehow.

That aside, this stuff is good, very good…

  5. Thanks for the heads up @stef! I’m always interested in trying new shampoos. So true about the age thing…I would be so happy to have the super thick hair I had when I was a kid…

  6. Seriously @Stef – this line looks so much like Purology – which I love – glad to hear it stacks up. I stopped coloring my hair a few years ago, but when I did, using special shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair was a MUST. They really do make a difference in helping to hold onto color.

And I am so excited BeautyTicket is adding hair care! It’s my guilty spending item – I’m with @Stef – drugstore makeup, bath and body are great – but hair care? Hard to find the good ones. Can’t wait to see what lines show up on BT!

  7. Great review @stef! I’m really loving what BeautyTicket.com is doing these days! This product really reminds me of Purology too. I will have to check it out -cause I need to!
