A Drugstore Deal That Works As Wells As High End Brands

Sophia Lauren said “Beauty is how you feel inside and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.” I do my best to take care of my skin but my eyes are the highest priority because they are the most telling area. I put my best foot forward by removing all of my makeup every night.

Call me obsessed but, I just can’t sleep without a naked face. My skin needs to be “free” and breathe if I am going to get some good sleep. Removing all traces of eye makeup is a key part of the evening cleaning routine, so I was excited to put Milani’s Instant Eye Makeup Remover to the test.

I’m fairly picky about this step in my routine and the qualities I look for in an eye make up remover are:

1. Dissolves all eye makeup with minimum effort.
2. Non-irritating to my sensitive eyes.
3. Non-scented, or very slightly so.
4. It needs to have a balance of not too oily or drying.

I have tried a ton of brands in all price ranges, yet very few of them seem to meet my criteria. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find Milani’s Instant Eye Makeup Remover really delivered. Even better, you can pick up a bottle at a wallet friendly price of just six bucks.

The “dual-phase liquid” remover activates when shaken. A word of advice: YOU MUST follow this step to get results. With just a few shakes this stuff is like a magic eraser. It instantaneously removes long wear and waterproof eye makeup. No tugging, pulling or excessive rubbing required.

I was thrilled that the Instant Eye Makeup Remover did not irritate my sensitive eyes – even during a full-blown allergy flare. I have been coughing, sneezing, tearing and blowing my nose. Normally, makeup remover would feel like pouring acid in my eyes. However, I could use this product without pain or irritation.

Pros
No Silicone or oil

  1. I give this a solid five stars. It is well worth ordering online and my favorite Eye Makeup Remover.

  2. Holly, I know how particular you are about makeup remover! :P If this impresses YOU, then I know it must be good.

  3. I agree with everything said. Milani has some great products and this is one of them. It’s a nice size, inexpensive and effective. You have to shake it well because it was pretty greasy when I didn’t, but if you follow the directions, it’s a great eye makeup remover! Solid four stars only because it’s not accessible for me unless I order online.

  4. This works REALLY well at removing those eye products that just don’t budge. Products that I normally reserve my bottle of oil-based remover for. The fact that is oil-free kinda blows my mind, because there is a slightly oily feeling to it (so, what is that then?) But I know that a bit of oil, or in this case “whatever it is”, is the big gun needed for long wear products.

I’m going 4 stars because it removes well, but I did think it left a greasy feeling behind. But I use it with a q-tip rather than a cotton ball to concentrate the removal and minimize the mess.

  5. I’m really less likely to buy something like eye makeup remover online, but what a rave review! I’m constantly on the search for a good eye makeup remover that will get ALL my eyeliner and mascara off. If I saw it in the store I’m sure I’d jump all over it, but I admit that it will probably take me a little while to make the leap if I have to order it… That, or a good sale and free shipping!

  6. I switched from the expensive Lancome BiFacils to the Almay eye makeup remover pads which came highly recommended. The Almay pads are super greasy tho and leave me feeling icky afterward. Has anyone tried both? How do they compare?
