Murad is a name I love. Years ago I visited their spa for a massage and facial and came away with a glowing skin, a brand new attitude and a professionally curated grocery bag of excellent products and vitamins.

Murad’s travel kits are my go-to whenever I need to pack a bag or board a plane. Simply put, Murad is trusted and dependable.

This new product I’ve tested, Murad Rapid Resurfacing Peel (available here), can fall in line with the rest—heck, it can get a fast-pass to the front of that line.

Murad has always been efficacious, gentle and reasonably priced.

There is a sort of holistic philosophy behind their products: spa for the soul, science for the skin and vitamins for the body.

While I haven’t necessarily kept up with all the products of theirs that I’ve tried and loved, there are always standouts that can definitely stand-alone.

Murad’s Rapid Resurfacing Peel ($44 for 16 towlettes), resurfaced my skin overnight (if not sooner). I’d say that makes this one of those standouts.

Rapid Resurfacing Peel consists of 16 wipes in foil pouches that are meant to be used a couple times a week. Easy-peasy.

The blend of 10% Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C on the wipes retextures the skin without irritating it.

Because the glycolic acid can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, I used this before bed, after washing my face (if using this in the morning, be sure not to forget your sunscreen!)

The first time I used it I saw immediate results: my skin literally pilled and peeled before my eyes.

There was a slight tackiness to my skin after the product dried. My pores appeared smaller and there was zero irritation.

My rosacea-prone skin had no immediate redness (which usually occurs, at least at first, when using an AHA).

When I woke up in the morning and looked in the mirror, it looked as though I was looking at my face through the Crema filter on Instagram!

I wanted to use this every day, and at first, I did.

Results were not as dramatic as that first day. There was no more pilling. I decided more was not more and fell back to the recommended 2 to 3 times a week.

My skin definitely appears smoother.

Also, living here in Los Angeles, a city known for its smog and mucky air, the detoxifying effects of the Vitamin C, along with the peeling off of surface cells exposed to the pollutants, are so welcomed.

I don’t mind the brighter skin and smoother face, either. Any day can be a Murad Spa Day now!

Ladies (and gents!), how do you feel about products like this one that bring professional spa-quality treatments to your home?

  1. I am SO gonna get these–I love Murad products, and this is such an easy way to apply a super effective peel at home.

    1. I have another peel that I just got (not Murad)…the kind that comes in a jar. I like it fine, but I can’t help but think it’s way to much work! This spoiled me. And it works better than any other peel I’ve used.

  2. I love to do at home treatments because extra time is not something I have a lot of.
This sounds like something I definitely want to try.

  3. I am curious how this may compare the the Dr. Gross Alpha Beta Peels? Does anyone know?

    1. I haven’t tried that peel, but I have tried others. This one is better than other “leave-ons” I’ve tried. It’s so amazing to me that it’s so effective yet so incredibly convenient!

    2. Honestly these work better!

  4. That sounds great! I’ve never tried a peel like these but the easier, the better as far as I’m concerned!

    1. It’s easier AND better than others I’ve tried. Do it!

  5. I’m definitely intrigued by this. I’m trying to be really proactive and get into a good skincare routine now, rather than later.
