Potato Crusted Cod

Our California-Style Fish Taco Recipe is centered around the Potato Crusted Cod, and only needs a few fresh ingredients (most of them probably already in your refrigerator) to go from start to finish in minutes.

Stefan’s Sea Cuisine California-Style Fish Taco Recipe
Serves Four

Ingredients:
4 Sea Cuisine Potato Crusted Cod fillets (the Tortilla Crusted Tilapia would be fab too!)
4 Soft flour tortillas
1 Avocado sliced thin
4 slices of Pepper Jack Cheese
4 tbsp. Sour Cream
1 Jalapeno Pepper sliced thin

Spicy Aioli
1 cup Hellman’s mayonnaise
6 tbsp. Chipotle Tabasco
6 tsp. Chopped Cilantro
2 Limes

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place fillets in a lightly oiled baking dish and bake for about 28 to 32 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow cooling for five minutes.

2. In the meantime, mix the spicy aioli. Add the mayonnaise, chipotle tobacco, chopped cilantro and squeezed lime to a bowl. Mix well until smooth.

3. Assemble the tacos: First place one slice of Pepper Jack Cheese on the tortilla and melt in microwave for 10 seconds. Cut the fish into bite size pieces and divide each fillet evenly amongst the flour tortillas.

4. Place sliced avocado across fish and top with the spicy aioli.

5. Finish off the taco with sliced jalapeno pepper and a dollop of sour cream.

Enjoy!

  1. Can’t wait to try these, hubby loves fish tacos! Thanks for sharing!

  2. When we moved here (California) from the East Coast, I found myself freaking out because the grocery stores didn’t carry Hellman’s Mayo! Thank GOD someone enlightened me quickly that I could read the small print on the label of Best -The Best Foods is Hellman’s brand and is sold in the United States west of the Rockies.. Phew!

This is just looking too yummy for words to me. I love fish but have to be careful not to eat a lot of it. We all know the mercury in fish is not good for our bodies.. it accumulates over time and never goes away…sigh..
But once in a while isn’t going to kill me! :)
    another great post @tyna!

    1. We East Coasters take our Hellman’s seriously @irene! Did you know that not only are the different, but the may recipe as well? Hellman’s is not quite the same as Best Foods – they make two different types and then label them accordingly and send Hellman’s East of the Mississippi and Best Food’s to the West. Stefan and I had a long char about Hellman’s/Best Foods – it’s the only kind he buys too!

  3. These look so good! Fish tacos are the perfect summer dinner so I will definitely have to try these before fall.

  4. I have totally had the tortilla-crusted tiliapia and it’s really good!

  5. I love simple recipes like this. Thanks for sharing!! I always like the basics (black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, garlic, salsa, sour cream, cheese – sometimes cabbage) on my tacos.

  6. I love fish tacos. They’re delicious. And I like this recipe a lot… it has a nice combo of things (including aioli, avocado, jalapenos!).
