RoC Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System Review

Anti-aging French skincare at drugstore prices? Oui!

RoC1 RoC Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System Reviewphotos: we heart this

Recently I returned from my annual trip to France to see my family. For me, the plane landing at the Baltimore-Washington Airport means going back to work, having to clean my house again and the beginning of the dry winter season. Which means it’s time to get serious about repairing my skin from the summer’s evil ways. That is why I was thrilled to get my latest WHT box filled with RoC products, including the RoC Retinol Correxion Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System RoC Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System Review.

Being a French woman, my ‘maman’ and I have long known the values of the RoC brand. The French brand is known for their anti-aging products, and more recently for their effective use of over the counter Retinol in their new RoC MAX Correxion line of products. In the past, retinol was only reserved for very tolerant skin types, but thanks to RoC, even sensitive gals can be wrinkle free thanks to RoC’s sensitive skin retinol line.

RoC3 RoC Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System Review

RoC’s new Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System ($26.99) is a two-step system combining a lotion and a serum to combat wrinkles and sagging, lifeless skin. While the products feel light as air on the skin, this system is a real power house in the anti-aging fight!

Step 1, the Anti-Wrinkle Treatment with RoC Retinol smooths deep wrinkles, while Step 2, the Resurfacing Serum with E-Pulse Technology, boosts radiance. The company claims that this system has been proven to be 4 times more effective than a series of three peels at the dermatologist’s office. Sign me up!

Both products should be applied in order in equal amounts evenly to the entire face, so that they can get to work on fine lines, sun damage, crow’s feet and uneven skin tone. I have been a RoC fan for years, but I was a little nervous to use these powerful products, sure that redness and itching would occur. (I would not call myself very sensitive, but have been known to get red from some retinol products.) However, these products are very effective in smoothing skin and evening its texture AND yet have not irritated my skin in any way.

I can’t say enough about these products. I have seen a big difference in my skin from these products and will always turn to them when I need some serious turnaround. I would put the RoC Retinol Correxion Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System RoC Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System Review up against any high priced system on the market.

Overall, RoC products have a proven track record, are affordable and available almost everywhere. So if you’re looking for some serious anti-aging skin care, join ‘La Revolution Francaise’ on wrinkles!

Readers and Testers – Does this two step wrinkle fighting system have you doing a two step dance of joy?

Me three! I have never tried anything from the RoC line until recently (the resurfacing Face Cleanser we’ll be reviewing soon) and I was pretty impressed with the drugstore wash. Now I want to try more (more! more!) from this brand and have this two piece system on my list to pick up the next time I hit Target. Thanks @glamazon56 for the review and official French stamp of approval.

Great products, I am still in the testing mode, but so far, they have already made a difference in my face and it’s nice to have a more affordable option, that delivers high end results. While it seems like the tubes are small, a VERY small amount goes a really long way, so I still have a lot left. My face feels smoother every morning when I wake up and it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all. This was my first experience with RoC, but it won’t be me last! Five stars!

I was not a tester for this particular system but, I have used various items from ROC with good results. They are known for good quality skin care at your local drugstore and other accessible places. I have friends who use this brand like their life depends on it.

I’ll admit, I’m pretty much a skincare snob. So, honestly – I didn’t go into this RoC system expecting much. This is one case where it’s good to be proven wrong! Because I not only really like this, but I have pushed similar products out of the way to make room for it that are 5 times as much.

My favorite step is #1, the Anti-Wrinkle treatment cream. It’s lightweight and sinks in instantly, has a really pleasant scent (that I can’t place, but like) and FEELS like it’s working thanks to a very slight tingle of the retinol.

Step #2, the Serum, is sadly not my cup of tea. It’s main ingredients are cone based and have that tell tale silicone feel to them; slippery, like a traditional primer. Luckily, this too seems to absorb quickly. I could see dry girls LOVING this step. But this oily girl wishes Step 1 was sold on it’s own.

So far, I haven’t seen any noticeable, lasting improvements. By skin def. looks and feels smoother after applying. But same amount of wrinkles, so far.

But for $26? I am more than happy to keep using this and see what happens in the long term.

It’s the first time I’ve tried the line, and it won’t be the last! 4 stars (it would be 5 if step #2 wasn’t “cone” based.)

I’ve only used ROC’s eye cream before–which I swear by and even use around my lip line b/c I noticed that my lip line started to become less defined when I hit 30–it’s a miracle eye cream and has even saved me from needing a lip liner. Y’all need to try it.

As @stef mentioned, the 2nd step in this is a cone-based serum, which seems to break me out like you wouldn’t believe (primers are also my enemy). The first step on this ROCKS–I use the first step and then my usual night cream and I noticed that my skin appeared to be more radiant and that my “11” between my eyebrows was lessened (I’ve been lazy with the Frownies that I usually swear by, so I figured I’d let this product do my wrinkle repair for a bit). I attempted using the second step for about a week, in conjunction with step one, and broke out on day 4 on my cheeks–where I never break out. After I quit the second step, I was golden and my skin cleared right up. Overall, I did notice wrinkle reduction and better skin when I passed on step 2, which honestly is all I really care about because I have so many radiance-boosting products that I’m good on that front. I’m giving this 5 stars anyways because it did deliver noticeable results on the wrinkles–I noticed softening after the first use, which is pretty darn dramatic. I think I’m going to try that face wash mentioned by @tyna next :)

I steer clear of step 2 as well, for the same reason as you and Stef, @Krista…that does not deter me from the RoC brand at all, however!
I love you trick about using the eye cream around the lip line area! I will use that tonight!!!
