I adore Aveeno. I love every facial product of theirs that I’ve ever tried and yet until now, I’d never tried any of their body products. I consider that a grievous oversight on my part. I was really excited to get to try the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Sheer Hydration Lotion.
As the weather changes, my skincare routine changes with it, and that includes my body moisturizer. As a New Englander, I live in a cocoon of body butter until spring.
But body butter is a little too rich for spring when you no longer have a heater running 24/7. My skin doesn’t need that level of moisture, so it just doesn’t absorb what it doesn’t need. I end up feeling a little greasy, which is just not attractive.
Solving this seasonal problem is Aveeno Sheer Hydration Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It provides the Goldilocks version of moisture: not too little, not too much, but just right!

My first impression of this lotion is that it has a very clean scent, though the lotion I tested is virtually fragrance-free. It almost smelled a little bit like pool water – the smell disappeared about a minute after application.
The lotion spread on quickly and easily and it absorbed within a minute. Gone are the days of having to wait in your bathrobe for your lotion to absorb before getting dressed.
For those of you who constantly run late (and who isn’t?), this lotion is a game changer. You can get dressed immediately and have zero product transfer. My skin felt soft and smooth and stayed feeling soft until my next shower. Aveeno never disappoints!
