Happy Holidays! To celebrate the year that was, we’re bringing you trios of the best and most popular posts of 2013. Let’s get started with one of our most popular beauty products – nail polish! ~ wht

MAC Scorching Haute and Tropical mixed swatch

MAC Scorching Haute and Tropical
Our first polish fave is actually a mix of two gorgeous MAC shades. I mixed two polishes from the Temperature Rising launch, Scorching Haute and Tropical, to create a color combo that was downright scorching and unlike anything my nails have donned before.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Isherwood nail lacquer

OCC Isherwood
We loved OCC’s Moderncraft collection for the rich and boozy shades that paid homage to “the real-life cabarets of 1920s Weimar Berlin, and its art, music and aesthetic innovations”. And from the inspiration to the deep, warm brown with antique gold shimmer shade, we adored EVERYTHING about Isherwood.

Orly Sparkling Garbage

Orly Sparkling Garbage
Orly, known for their high-end polishes at budget prices, wowed us with Sparkling Garbage. When applied over a teal base, this sheer dirty green base PACKED with rainbow holographic glitter is absolutely mesmerizing.

  1. My favorite polishes this year have been Zoya’s PixieDust line, Vespa is my favorite. I also like Revlon’s Perfumerie line in WinterMint which is a gorgeous green shade with green glitter.

  2. I can’t pick a favorite polish, it’s too hard!! But this is a great reminder for me to put Sparkling Garbage on my wishlist, that sparkle is out of control!!

  3. The great thing about nail polish is that you don’t have to pick just one favorite – most are so reasonably priced you can pick up all the ones you love! As for me, I’m going with OCC’s Isherwood as my number one – I adore dark polishes and this one with it’s deep bronzy brown and hint of sparkle is unique enough to justify the purchase! Sparkling Garbage is pretty amazing looking in these pictures though, so I’m adding that to my list as well!
