A Fruity Cocktail for Your Lips
Summertime always seems to inspire me to take a more natural and light approach to how I eat, what I wear, and what beauty products I indulge in. One thing that I cannot get enough of in the summer is fruit. I love it all. It’s light, refreshing, and makes you feel good.
Another thing that I cannot go without in the summer is lip gloss. Gloss is a light and easy way to add a little color to your summer look. BITE Beauty has luckily devised the perfect combination of fruit and gloss with the release of their Lush Fruit Lip Gloss.
The Lush Fruit Lip Glosses are a new release for BITE Beauty. They are available exclusively at Sephora and retail for $22 each. Not only a gloss that delivers beautiful color and shine, they also act as a lip treatment.
BITE Beauty has a highly unique milling process that infuses whole coconuts, strawberries, mangoes, along with seven different nourishing fruit oils and pure pigments into their gloss.
BITE Beauty’s Lush Fruit Lip Gloss is 99% natural. It is packed with antioxidants, nutrients, fruit extracts, and seed oils. BITE Beauty also uses a signature ingredient in their gloss, Red Wine Resveratrol. It helps to fight some of the aging issues related to our lips. The company likes to call the gloss a “superfruit smoothie for your lips.”
BITE Beauty has given this gloss simple yet luxurious packaging. The gloss comes in a sturdy clear tube with a rubberized black lid. The company logo is discreetly stamped on the lid. The rubberized lid is easy to open and close. The clear tube allows one to easily identify the color and to know when it is time to re-purchase. This is modern, minimalist design at its best.
BITE Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss currently comes in twelve fabulous shades. The testers at WHT sampled these four hues:
Garnet – punchy pink creme
Spice – bright red orange creme
Honey – sheer nude with gold micro glitter
Raisin – uber-light milky cool pink
I really enjoyed these glosses. The ingredients are outstanding. I actually feel good about putting it on. The gloss is comfortable to wear. It is only slightly tacky, but this helps to keep some color longevity. The glosses are also really great for layering. The nude colors particularly blend well with bright colors.
Pros:
• A nice mix of nude and vibrant colors available.
• Good for you ingredients.
• I did not find myself re-applying the gloss every five minutes.
Cons:
• I couldn’t really find any cons, unless you dislike the fruity scent (I found it pleasant.)
I highly recommend these glosses. They are perfect for the summer and beyond, if you want luscious beautiful color that is good for you too. I know that I do!

I haven’t tried their glosses, but I love my Corvina lip pencil. Pretty swatches!
These have been my go to glosses for the summer! Garnet makes my lips look like fruit punch. And Honey is like the first nude that I have ever really, really liked. It is soooo pretty!! Subtle gold in a tube. I still totally recommend these glosses!! A++++++++++
Pretty colors. Is the fruity scent like coconut, @kellie76 ? If so, I’m buying Honey!
I would say that the fruity scent is in line with “tropical”. So maybe a hint of coconut. It is not an overly sweet or obnoxious smell. It’s nice!
These are all such beautiful colors! I have a lipstick from BITE and I love the richness of that.. I can only imagine how these are! They look truly awesome!!!
These look gorgeous–I’m eyeing up the Raisin, in particular…
I’ve been hearing so much buzz lately about Bite Beauty. Raisin and Spice are very pretty colors!
I kept going, “Oooo!” through this whole post. I am new to Bite Beauty, so this might have to be my first purchase! I think Honey is my favorite, so versatile! Garnet is kinda awesome too, though…
I tested a Sheer Coral BITE lip gloss. It makes my lips look divine, but I didn’t care for the taste, and also the strange tingle I felt with it on my lips. I liked the packaging, and I think they logo is rockin’. It’s good to know that they are 99% natural. Chances are I would not buy this gloss, because of my aversion to the tingle & taste.
Ooh, I have my eye on Garnet and Honey, both look fabulous. I’ve been really impressed with everything I have tried from Bite.
@kellie, you had me at the ingredients–and sealed it with the colors (especially “Raisin” and “Honey”). Multi-tasking products can’t be beat; I want to care for my lips when I color them. Very anxious to try these. Nice review!
Hello, Spice! Want to come home with me? You do? AWESOME. *licks fingers, smooths eyebrows, holds open purse*
That is one magical shade of orange :)
Raisin, Spice, and Honey look amazing. Reading what’s in each tube makes me want a fruit smoothie right now. Looking forward to check one of these out.
