I’ll Be Your Glow for All Seasons…
Charlotte Tilbury has been synonymous with healthy-looking, natural beauty for several years now. Bohemian rapture is how I describe it: full, pouty looks in nature-inspired shades. Their mascara is life, their eyeshadows are uplifting, and their lip colors are to die for. Now, for the first time, I’ve sampled Unisex Healthy Glow and I’m in heaven.
(And yes, that subheading is a Grease 2 reference…)
Unisex Healthy Glow ($40) is more than just a tinted moisturizer. It’s magic. Well, maybe not magic…but close. With the first squeeze of the tube, you will see what I mean. It’s not white school glue that you will see, but it looks a lot like it-and the consistency is comparable. This is where the similarities between Elmer’s and Healthy Glow end.
The whitish color is infused with what looks like gray specks. This is where the magic happens. One nickel-sized squeeze of grey-speckled lotion transforms to the perfect tint when applied to the face. The coverage is thick enough to even skintone, but not enough to cover red.
The thick, tackiness of the lotion does not hinder its application, but it does tend to stay a bit tacky on the skin for a short while. I know some may not want this kind of finish, but I love it. I think it adds to the glow and gives powder something to stick to.
I’ve read that others have had issue with the color not corresponding to their natural tone. I’m neutral in tone, and this did seem to conform to my coloring in a most perfect way.
Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow Swatches
The Unisex part is on point. There is absolutely nothing about this that says makeup. The color seems to become a part of you. My husband used it after feeling ashy and ill, and no one was the wiser. As a side note, he is blonde with blue eyes, while I am a brown-eyed brunette. The moisturizer worked well for both our tones.
The only drawback I see is the lack of sunscreen. The package does say to use over your favorite moisturizer, or to use on its own. That said, you can definitely add your own sunscreen-just be aware that you will still need that.
If natural is your look; if glow is your game; if glam is your passion, Unisex Healthy Glow is your power. Game on. We heartsters, what’s your favorite Charlotte Tilbury product? Share in the comments!
