When you hear “Dynamic Duo”, you might think of Batman and Robin, but I’m thinking of Clarins Double Serum and Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream. Both help fight the early signs of aging and together they are unstoppable. I started using these when my skin was at my cold weather driest–we’re talking my skin was peeling in areas. Together, these products managed to completely turn around the quality of my skin–I went from lizard-like to radiant in about 2 weeks! I noticed a difference in my fine lines in a matter of days. Mostly I noticed a big difference in my self-esteem; I look like me again.

Clarins Double Serum Complete Age Control Concentrate ($87) is an anti-aging treatment that is made up of water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients that stimulate the skin and turn back the hands of time. They’re separated in a unique two-chamber container that doesn’t combine until you pump it. Twenty plant extracts went into the making of this serum, including organic green banana (increases firmness and fights wrinkles), katafray extract (moisturizes and softens), kiwi extract (promotes suppleness) and maritime pine (boosts radiance). Firmness is restored, lines are reduced, and pores are refined. Best of all: radiant skin.

One pump of this product is all it takes to cover my entire face and décolletage. The clear and tea-colored gels combine to a slightly floral-fruity fragrance. It slicks on easily and absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling as soft as a rose petal. I really can lose my radiance during the colder months and this really brought it back very quickly. Even better–when combined with the Multi-Active Day Cream, the “11” wrinkles between my eyebrows went from fairly noticeable to greatly reduced within days. DAYS, y’all!

Clarins Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream ($59) is the second member of this power couple. Geared towards those of us in our 30’s and beyond, it helps correct early wrinkles and evens tone skin. This day cream uses ingredients like hesperidin (antioxidant protection), katafray (moisturizes and softens), ambiaty (ingredient sourced from Madagascar which helps reduce early wrinkles) and light-reflecting pigments which visually improves the appearance of skin’s radiance. The end result is healthier-looking, baby soft skin.

This cream is a bit heavier than my standard nighttime moisturizer, but when it’s cold out and my regularly oily skin goes dry, I need to reach for the big guns. This cream is the palest pink shade and is a bit more fragranced than I prefer—it smells a bit like my grandmother did, which is somewhat off-putting for me. Fortunately, I’m extremely vain and the results this cream delivers are worth the scent. A pea-sized amount is all it takes to cover my face and neck and it absorbs within about two minutes. When paired with the Double Serum, I noticed an improvement in the appearance of my skin within a few days: my forehead wrinkles were almost undetectable, my face stopped peeling and my skin just felt softer and healthier. I’m only a few weeks into using these products and can’t wait to see how my skin looks in a few more weeks!

If you’re in the market for a new anti-aging skincare regime, I highly recommend you give Clarins Double Serum and Multi-Active Day Cream a try. In the fight against aging, every little bit helps and we need every weapon we can fit in our arsenals.

  1. Clarins is such a fantastic skin care line. I’ve honestly loved each and every product I’ve ever tried. I adore serums – I adore Clarins, I am getting these just on your review alone. My skin says thanks!

  2. I am ALWAYS in the market for a new anti-aging skincare routine, and this duo sounds fabulous. I know what you mean about scented facial products, but like you, I’m willing to make exceptions for really great results! Clarins has never let me down.

    1. Yeah, I would use pretty much anything if it works ;) lol

  3. Ooooh, dying to try these now! That serum looks fantastic. I use a vitamin C serum during the day under my sunscreen, but I’ve been looking for something really heavy duty for nighttime, and this looks perfect!

  4. It has been a long time since I lasted tried Clarins skincare. But, I do remember loving every single drop of the last “duo” I bought. I am going to check this out as soon as I deplete my existing stash!

  5. My skincare two-cents makes a lot of good sense.. this line is amazing and it has been for years, but it sure seems to be making a lovely début come back with its latest in skincare. I have enjoyed every product I ever had and recently went through my bottle in record time of Clarins Double Serum Complete Age Control Concentrate. I’m getting more of that my 50 plus year old skin digs it! The Clarins Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream is on the heavy side, but I love it.. my skin will drink it up. I’m almost done with that jar! :)
