Gloss48 has girly gifts covered!
Has this happened to you? You’re shopping for a friend when you encounter something so perfect that you want to buy it for yourself. This happens to me a lot when I’m strolling the virtual aisles of the niche beauty haven Gloss48. This week’s Current Crushes are exactly a case of that; while shopping for a girly friend of mine, I end up with three new items I wanted for myself. Whoops.
Luckily, the Gloss48 lovelies sent me the products for closer inspection…
Check out the SewLomax Lipstick Pops bag ($25) and tell me you wouldn’t have kept it too. This adorable embroidered bag from the UK line is approximately 11” x 5” – making it the perfect size for full size makeup brushes or to use as a clutch for a night out (an ID, lipstick, credit card and compact all fit with ease.) The pretty little heart-shaped gold zipper pull is divine, and I love the pop of the red nylon interior every time I open it up.
The Beauty for Real Cheek Tint/Luminizer ($29) has my name all over it too. I love to sparkle, but glitter and I aren’t the best of friends. Luckily Beauty for Real understands there are other ways to shine without looking like a craft project.
The Cheek Tint/Luminizer in Gold Rush/Afterglow gives such a beautiful luminous glow. Use bronzey Afterglow for a hint of color, Goldrush for a highlight, or together for just plain awesomeness. Plus, it contains an ingredient called Luminera, which reflects UV light to diminish wrinkles, discolorations, imperfections; basically everything you don’t want to see!
Goldrush and Afterglow, applied heavily
Anyone who knows me, knows I can never pass up a good lip product. So I was goner the minute I spied Tat2u Lip Crème Extreme ($14). And the deal was sealed when I swatched them! These are the trifecta of lip product perfection; the shades are vibrant, the pigment is off the charts and they last practically FOREVER (translation: 5 hours). The formula applies like a gloss but it’s really a liquid lipstick; a shiny, creamy, liquid lipstick.
Fabulosity, Chocolate Truffle, LOL, Hearts & Flowers, Treat Me Sweetly
The fruity scent worried me at first, as I’m super sensitive to scents. But it was a distant memory in moments because it faded quickly. Phew.
From left:
Fabulosity – berry-kissed mauve
Chocolate Truffle – rich chocolate shimmer
LOL – bright fucshia pink (a best seller!)
Hearts & Flowers – bright red shimmer
Treat Me Sweetly – warm nude

@stef–Great post! Quick question: What is the texture on the Beauty for Real cheek tint/luminizer? Is it cream to powder or sheer cream or what? The blush shade looks like a dupe for a blush I used to love, but I’m looking for a cream that ends up powdery and stays put. Let me know because I’m crushing on this product hard right now :D
Love Gloss48! They always have a new to me brand that I need to check out.
Until recently I wasn’t much of a face highlighter fan – but as a recent convert, the Beauty for Real Cheek Tint/Luminizer looks very interesting! Goldrush is gorgeous, but probably not for my coloring – however the Lit/In The Pink version:

is now on my wishlist!
This site is new to me! Great Review as always,@stef. They really look intense with plenty of pigmentation to spare. Speaking of which would be my holiday color- Yup, Hearts & Flowers would make me feel merry and bright!
