Supplies

  • Fabric daisy trim (1/4 yard is more than enough!)

  • Metallic Spray Paint

1. Cut the fabric trim, snipping the flowers apart. You need two flower pieces for each pair of earrings.

2. Apply a liberal amount of fabric stiffener until both pieces are saturated with liquid. Leave to dry overnight.

3. Once dried and stiffened, spray paint in a well-ventilated area. Leave to dry according to the bottle’s directions.

6. Leave to dry overnight. Once dried, your earrings are ready for some summertime fun!

Crocheted fabric flower trim is sold by the yard. Some stores sell a few yards on a spool. Because you only need two flower pieces for this project, a strand of trim can go a long way. Make a pair of earrings for each of your friends – and a few extra for yourself! Remember, our gold and clear pairing is just an idea to start you off. Don’t be afraid to experiment.

Easy, right? Would you give this DIY a try? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I remember using these same sort of fabric flowers to make doilies for my dollhouse when I was a little girl. I like your idea so much better! These earrings are absolutely adorable!
