First Aid Beauty Review – Facial Radiance Polish and Overnight Mask

Living in a hot, dry and smoggy climate, I’m always on the lookout for products that can hydrate my skin and make it soft and smooth. In short, I want it to work miracles. When I was asked to try First Aid Beauty (aka FAB), I couldn’t wait to see if their products could help save my skin.

True to its name, First Aid Beauty products are great for problem skin, “no matter age or skin type”. With the right prescription – make that product selection – eczema and acne can be a thing of the past. And cleaner and brighter skin could be just a jar away with FAB.

All FAB products are 100% fragrance free, and free of parabens, phthalates, alcohol, and artificial dyes. Plus they’re made in the USA and the brand never tests on animals, so you can feel good about using them.

Finally, each product has FAB’s special antioxidant booster – a combination of licorice, feverfew and white tea extract, which fights environmental damage, allergens and sun exposure. I set out to test their Facial Radiance line, and I couldn’t wait to “take my medicine”.

Facial Radiance Polish ($24)

The Facial Radiance Polish is a gentle wash and daily exfoliator that promises brighter skin. Formulated with shea nut shell powder, grape seed oil and shea butter; your skin can’t help but feel and look healthier. Yes, even radiant.

This polish has a creamy formula with plenty of exfoliating nut shell pieces throughout. A little goes along way, so this tube should last awhile. It is on the subtle side of scrubs, but does a nice job of clearing dead skin – and never leaves skin dry or irritated. It has an easy to open flip top on the bottom making it easy to use, store and take while traveling.

Disclaimer: I love facial masks. Love ’em! The peel off ones, the wash off ones, the ones that come in the foil packages – all of them. So, this overnight mask really intrigued me. Overnight? Imagine what a full eight hours could do!

The Facial Radiance Overnight Mask comes packaged in a cute turquoise jar that’s easy to handle. The mask itself is a smooth, gel-like cream, yet it doesn’t feel at all greasy or heavy. That surprised me, given its super creamy texture. The formula contains omega fatty acids and skin brightening agents to help improve your skin’s tone and texture.

The directions said to use alone or with your favorite evening cream. I tried it both ways and was really impressed with the results. The mask is rich and was fairly fast absorbing into my skin. I applied it about 15 minutes before I went to bed to give it time to soak in to my skin.

I really did notice a difference. My skin was noticeably softer and hydrated in the morning and that hydration lasted all day. Plus I swear my skin tone looks a bit brighter and more even overall.

After my doses of First Aid Beauty, I have to say their Facial Radiance Polish and Facial Radiance Overnight Mask really are the miracles in a jar I was searching for! With such great results, I can’t wait to see what continued use over the fall and winter months does for my skin.
