I was born on the first day of spring, and the season always makes me feel hopeful and excited– this spring especially, because I got to experience the FabFitFun Spring 2016 box. This is my very first FabFitFun box, and oh boy, what a fab introduction!
Before we go any further, if you want this box (and you will), use code WEHEART10 to get $10 off! That will make it $39.99 with free shipping – such a bargain.
Ok…on with the reveal.
Because it will be beach season before we know it, let’s start with Fit:
The Yoga Mat Strap by Merrithew ($14.99) does double duty as a resistance cord for strength training, and a nifty way to keep my mat neat and portable instead of using a mat bag. After my workout, I just put a loop on each end of my rolled up yoga mat and hoist the strap over my shoulder like the Yoga Warrior I pretend I am.
After a good workout, it’s time for Fun:
The Kitchen Herb Garden by MakersKit ($35) is a great way for anyone to satisfy her primal springtime urge to dig in the dirt. The complete project kit has seeds, pots, compost… everything I need to grow mint, thyme and basil right on my windowsill! Plus, for every kit purchased, MakersKit donates a school supply in partnership with P.S. Arts.
Even my post-gardening cleanup is fun with the Bath Bomb Trinity by Jus D’Amour ($28). Each of the organic bombs contains essential oils blended for unique effects:
• Romance: jasmine, rose and sandalwood
• Relaxation: lavender, chamomile and ylang ylang
• Rejuvenation: eucalyptus, peppermint and lime
Each one smells scrumptious, and the fizzing is so much fun!
But wait! There’s so much more in this box, and every single thing is Fab:
Contour Kit by ISH ($32) was created by FabFitFun with celebrity makeup artist Joey Maalouf. Available in two color palettes, this kit in Light/Medium contains a highlighter, blush, bronzer and contour shade, all packaged in a sleek compact. With this, even a novice can contour like a champ!
For 2016, the ISH company has committed to sponsoring 100 girls’ participation in I AM THAT GIRL, an organization that aims to empower by teaching girls to “love, express and be exactly who they are.” Now that’s truly beautiful!
Tag Necklace by Jook & Nona ($65) is my favorite item in a whole box of things I love. So delicate and eye-catching, the necklace is made from 18k gold-plated stainless steel engraved with “love,” “happy,” “inspire” or “dream.” I’m glad mine says “love” because I love this necklace so much!
Shaving Emulation Lotion by HelloLegs ($19.95 for 3oz) combines body lotion, shaving cream and “blade butter” into the most wonderful shaving concoction. It will be bare leg weather in no time, and I thank HelloLegs for the just-in-time pampering!
Argan & Hemp Oil Therapy by Marrakesh ($22.99 for 2oz) is a “hair styling elixir” that smells like heaven—sweet and vanilla-infused. Just a tiny bit smoothed my parched-from-winter hair and banished frizz. It can be used on wet or dry hair.
Bodipure Keratin Gloves & Socks ($9.98, 1 pair of each, individually wrapped) offer spa-quality hand and foot treatment, conveniently and inexpensively. Just 20 relaxing minutes is all it takes to fortify and strengthen skin and nails. All ingredients are derived from 100% vegetable, 100% renewable sources.
$25 Gift Card to 31 Bits jewelry, a company that sells creations from artisans in Uganda. The company empowers its artisans through wages and education, allowing them to achieve a better life. The jewelry is unique and lovely, and I will be proud to wear whatever I finally choose.
$30 Gift Card to Sterling Forever, which offers a huge selection of every jewelry look you could imagine, from runway trends to classic staples. I spent an hour browsing earrings alone! Spending this gift card is going to be fun as well as fab!
The total retail value of these treasures is $282.91, and that’s not even counting the fact-filled mini magazine that comes in the box. The cover text on the sweetly illustrated box captures exactly how I feel: FabFitFun Spring 2016 edition. Let happiness bloom.
we heartsters – what looks a must-have to you, is it Fab, Fit or Fun?
