Fabulous Gifts That Won’t Break Your Budget!

I like to think that I shop well with a budget. I try to get gifts that show some thought went into it without breaking the bank. I recently had a friend lament that her family decided to do a gift exchange where they only shopped for one family member and the price cap was around $25. She said it was impossible to get anything substantial for that price. I told her to let me put a few ideas together and here is the result:

For Her:

Rowallan Reece Mini Zip Round Box ($17.99)

Rowallan Reece Mini Zip Round Box

Made of high quality leather by Rowallan of Scotland, this sturdy case is great for the lady with a minimalist taste in jewelry or for the jet setter who loves to travel. There are a few colors to choose from (raspberry made my wishlist). If you’re looking to spend a little more, pair this with a delicate piece of jewelry like these under $6 14k Gold Stud Earrings I found on Etsy.

For Your Office Buddy:

Fringe Live Laugh Love Mug ($12.50)

Fringe Live Laugh Love Mug

Fringe makes these fantastic porcelain mugs that feel so good in your hands. They FEEL like a high-end mug. If the recipient has a sense of humor, check out Pier 1 as well, they have an excellent selection of mugs that will make her laugh. This one – Don’t Go Bacon My Heart – brought me joy.

For The Hostess:

Fred and Friends GINGERDEAD MEN Cookie Cutter/Stamper ($7.07)

Fred and Friends GINGERDEAD MEN Cookie Cutter/Stamper

Find some ridiculous cookie cutters and a gourmet gingerbread mix. Throw in some holiday kitchen towels (easily found at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or Homegoods) and you have a cute and funny hostess gift!

For The Sentimentalist:

The World According to Mister Rogers: Important Things to Remember ($13.15)

The World According to Mister Rogers: Important Things to Remember

I have this book and it would make an excellent gift for anyone who grew up with Mr. Rogers, which is pretty much most people I know. This book is pure joy, happiness, and love – which is what the holidays are about. Bonus points if you pair this with a cardigan.

For The Bookworm:

Paddywax Library Collection Oscar Wilde Glass Candle ($19.22)

Paddywax Library Collection Oscar Wilde Glass Candle

For your literary lover, pair one of Paddywax Library Collection candles with books by/about the matching author. The Oscar Wilde candle would pair nicely with this book, Oscar Wilde’s Wit and Wisdom: A Book of Quotations (Dover Thrift Editions), which is a steal at only $2.15! There are numerous authors to choose from, including Charles Dickens, Edgar Allen Poe and Jane Austen. If you wanted to go a wee bit over $25, go for the Charles Dickens candle and a copy of A Christmas Carol – either in book form or the movie featuring George C. Scott (my favorite version of the movie).

For The Office Rebel:

Silk Skull and Crossbones Tie ($15)
Silk Skull and Crossbones Tie

Know a guy with an office job, but the heart of a rebel? Does he yearn for individuality in a sea of suits? Get him a fun tie to show his personality! This tie is made of 100% silk and manages to be edgy and elegant at the same time. Maybe add in a pair of these The Flash Cufflinks to round out the gift?

For Him:

The Art of Shaving 4 Elements Starter Kit ($20.98)

The Art of Shaving 4 Elements Starter Kit

If the guy you’re shopping for is clean shaven, might I suggest this starter kit from The Art of Shaving? I highly recommend the Lemon fragrance. Sadly, my hubby, who is not the clean-shaven type, recently lost his beard in a horrific beard trimming accident. He’s currently trying to grow it back and I think this set, or the Billy Jealousy ‘Beard Envy’ Kit ($25) will give him a little hope back.

See? Great gifts can be found, no matter your budget! Hope these ideas helped you complete your gift giving list. Happy Holidays!
