How to get a Youthful Glow and Fight Aging at the Same Time

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Bronzer photos: we heart this

If I had to pick one product which I need on a daily basis (other than lipstick) it’s bronzer. I just always feel better with a brush of bronze, swept across my face. It makes me look healthier and sun kissed… much better than the pale version of myself! I’ve tried practically every bronzer out there, so when It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Bronzer arrived for me to test, I was excited to find one I haven’t used yet.

Here at wht we are very fond of It Cosmetics because they are known for producing cosmetics that contain cutting edge, anti-aging compounds; they even won the 2011 Cosmetics Innovator of the Year Award for most Innovative Company. Their cosmetics are NOT just cosmetics, they fight aging too!

Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Bronzer

Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Bronzer ($24) is the first loose powder bronzer I’ve tried. It’s packed with all sorts of good stuff like collagen, Vitamin K and Silk Protein, that all work to improve your skin’s texture, by blending in lines, pores and imperfections. When I put this bronzer on, the very first thing I noticed was how silky, soft my face felt!

It comes in a small, sleek jar, with a little powder puff, but I found it easier to use a brush for application. While it’s not a very big jar (0.23 oz.), you only need a very small amount, so I think it’s going to last awhile.

Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Bronzer packaging sticker Plus, how clever is this? The sticker is perforated so you can remove the whole thing for a lot of bronze, or just a piece for a little bronze!

It Cosmetics calls this a “poreless finish HD micro-powder” and I must say it’s one of the most finely milled powders I’ve used, so it really does go on very smooth. The color is a nice light, shimmer-free golden glow and I think anyone who may be a little hesitant to use bronzer will really like this one, because it’s very subtle and natural.

While it may not have lasted quite as long as other bronzers, I found the lightweight, soft coverage it gave me was perfect for casual, daily use. I also saw a slight visible improvement to the pores on my nose…it does blend them in!

Pros:
Talc, paraben, sulfate and phthalate free
Hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic
Fights aging
Minimizes pores
Soft, subtle glow

Cons:
Color isn’t as long lasting

Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Bronzer

If you’re new to bronzers, or looking for a subtle glow, you will like this one. So what do you think readers – are you ready to fight aging, while looking beautifully, naturally bronzed too?

  1. I haven’t used loose powder on my face in a long time. This brought me back to my Bare Escentuals days, which was kind of like my gateway into makeup obsession oddly enough. I was a little wary of using it because I enjoy the ease of a compact. However, I did like the results and the fact that it is good for my skin! That alone is enough of a reason of why I should give it a shot. the color worked great on my skintone and a little DOES go a long way. I do agree that it didn’t last as long but I do use a makeup setting spray that helps. 4 stars from me!

  2. I’m bummed it isn’t long lasting. :( But that little perforated sticker thing is quite clever! More companies should do that.

  3. Even though I’m a bronzer fan from way back, I’d never used a loose bronzing powder before this one, and I was surprised by how much I liked it! Like you, @spitfire77 , I bypassed the puff and used a brush instead, and was able to get a soft, pretty, believable glow every time. The powder does have an airbrush effect, minimizing my pores and evening out my skintone. I actually found the wear time to be perfectly fine (but my skin is on the drier side and products tend to last on me). The sticker options are really clever, too. My first loose bronzer was a big success all around. 5 stars for Bye Bye Pores.

  4. I love how subtle it is…great for contouring in the winter months. I usually don’t wear bronzer except if I’m going out for a special occasion so long-lasting isn’t too much of a concern for me. The stickers are too smart!

Thanks for a great review. :)

  5. I received It Cosmetics, Bye Bye Pores Bronzers to test out. I was thinking I sure could use some color this summer- like months ago, really. It sounds so simply put.. but this is great stuff! I like how easy it is to apply and the anti age airbrushed micro-bronzer really works well, it’s worth every penny! I mention it often- how I stay out of the sun and because of that, I’m pretty ghostly looking! This stuff is the ticket for a few reasons. One it really makes it easy to get that healthy glow and airbrush effect in a heartbeat and any shine or glare is slam dunk gone! .The micro bronzing works like magic, it smoothes out any signs of pores, without looking like it just filled them in.. I hate that look into lines and wrinkles I am hooked on this stuff!! I like the ingredients too.. nothing bad in there at all.. Another fab product!! Thanks! Five stars! *****

  6. Yeah, this is a great bronzer for a softer glow, and I love that it’s good for aging skin too!

  7. I forgot to mention I would give it a solid four stars, only because I like a more pronounced bronzer, but this one is great for a quick, lighter casual look.

  8. I really love this bronzer. As a long-time aficionado of BE, this immediately reminded me of Warmth. The sifting container, the fine mill, all remind me of my mineral fave. I, too, purposely lost the circa 1985 puff included in favor of a fluffy brush. You will also need to do this lest you like streaks. Luckily, that fine mill blends easily.
I do have to remove a star for the old fashioned puff… Who would DO that? Great performer, though.
