L’Oreal Infallible Smokissime Powder Eyeliner Pen review…here’s why it’s our Product of the Week

Name: L’Oreal Infallible Smokissime Powder Eyeliner Pen ($8.99-ish)

What it does: It’s a powder eyeliner pen, with a chubby foam tip and a gel-like powder housed in the cap, that creates a quick and easy smoky eye.

Why we love it: Smoky eyes straight from the runway to home! L’Oreal; the name always evokes images of gorgeous women, perfect makeup and glamour to me. Screen goddesses of eras gone by and today’s stunning women, all made more beautiful by L’Oreal. From hair color, hair care, skin care and makeup, L’Oreal really has a girl covered. I was really excited to test this eyeliner and see if I could master the elusive smoky eye.

The Infallible Smokissime Powder Eyeliner Pen didn’t disappoint. It’s packaged in an easy to hold/easy to find package that is surprisingly larger and more substantial than most eyeliners. With a quick unscrew of the cap, you’ll find a rather large and slightly pointed sponge applicator. And the key to smoky goodness is right inside the cap were the gel-powder is stashed. No need to twist, sharpen and pray that it doesn’t break while you’re using it anymore. Every time you open it, you are applying more powder to the applicator.

#702 Brown Smoke
#703 Taupe Smoke
#704 Purple Smoke

#701/Black Smoke gave me (and Stef, as seen above) the perfect smoky eye with ease! The pointed tip applicator makes it easy to control the thickness of the line and I had zero issues with pulling or tugging. The coverage is excellent and the color is a true, rich inky black.

Once applied and smudged to desired smudginess, Stef used a small brush to soften the edge of the applied powder (the applicator only added more gel powder when she tried to soften the edge with it.) Best of all, it stayed put for both of us for the entire day.

This eyeliner has become my newest best makeup friend. I think it might just be yours too.
